Chapter 4: Start of Preparations

THE DAY WENT well!

Hindi pa natapos ang meetings namin pero kinakailangan na naming umalis dahil may duty pa si pader. But we definitely going to reschedule it until we've figured it all out the details from root to tips! We'll just going to be keep in touch just in case pader and I are going to make some changes or additions to the details.

(That's great to know, sis! So mauuna ang birthday ni Travis, then wedding niyo! I can't wait!)

"Me too, sis." as I speak with Vana through phone.

(Nakapili ka na ba ng theme? I mean, yung colors, style ng mga gown for bridesmaids -- bridesmaids! Do you have a lists na ba?)

Yun pa nga inaalala ko!

"Actually sis, wala pa nga. Aside sa ikaw as my maid of honor, of course! Ate Trina and ate Trixie will be in my secondary sponsors. The rest, wala na!)

(Hmm... Naisip ko, kung ikakasal din ako, ako rin noh? Aside sa mga sisters ko, wala rin ako masyadong close friends na babae bukod sayong best friend ko?)

Ewan ko ba? Pareho ba kaming introvert nitong ni Vana? Parang hindi naman siya ganun?

"Sinabi mo pa!"

(How about your cousins? Kahit naman nasa ibang bansa sila, for sure lilipad yun dito kung kukunin mo sila sa entourage mo.)

"Great idea! I'll talk to them later."

(Nako sis kompletuhin mo na yang list ng entourage mo ah? Pati yang mga ninong at ninangs.)

"I'm thinking to ask your mom and dad to be one of our ninong and ninang?" pagbabakasali ko. And as I expected ---

(OMG sis! Thank you!!! Sure! I'll call mom and dad!)

"Ah, I want to do it sis. Gusto kong ako kumausap sa kanila. "

(No problem, sis! For sure matutuwa sina mom! They've been waiting for this too!)

Hindi ko naman din mapigilang hindi matuwa.

"Thank you sis. Si pader din kasi kukuning mga ninong at ninang parents nila Dylan, Bricks at Richard."

(That's so cute! I'm really excited na sis!)

Dinig na dinig ko nga ang kilig at pagtili ni Vana sa kabilang linya.

(How about the venue? Is it a church or destination wedding?)

"Hmm.. To be honest, hati ang opinyon namin ni pader. He wanted on the church, ako naman garden with beach view of sunset. You know, I always love the sunset."

(Aww sis, that is so romantic! So convince mo na si Travis na destination wedding na! Pero teka? Do you have a spot?)

"Hmm, wala pa nga eh. Actually, hindi ako makapili!"

(Like, where?)

"Balesin? Pangasinan? Cebu? Palawan? May mga rest house kasi kami diyan di ba? Since sa Boracay na sina kuya noon, hindi ko na sinama sa options ko yun."

(Oh my goodness! All those places are so beautiful! I remembered, noong nasa Coron at Bantayan Island tayo! Such a paradise!)

"Uh-hmm.. It will be really isolated. I like that."

(Ohh! I'm so thrilled! Oh siya, sis! I have to go, my meeting will be starting. See yah!)

AS it's finally weekend, we are heading now to our house.

Finally, a home sweet home!

Salubong sa amin ni mamu pagkababa ni pader ng salamin ng kotse at hindi pa kami nakakababa. Gwapo talaga neto ni pader kapag naka-sunglasses, lakas maka-celebrity!
