Louisa's POV:
My legs were shaking with nerves as I stood in the airport in Nagoya, Japan, looking around for a familiar face in the crowd, wondering if what I was doing was the right thing by being here.
Due to some team thing, Santiago couldn't pick me up. So he sent Andrew instead, the only one (who wasn't Henri) that he trusted with me apparently. Might have something to do with how Andrew views me as his sister. But the man in question was nowhere in sight, and I'd been waiting for 30 minutes.
I was about to give it up and get a taxi when there was someone calling my name loudly, his heavy accent clear as day. "Louisa! Shit, sorry! Hey, Lou, wait up!" Andrew was breathing heavily as he finally stopped in front of me.
"Whatcha call this then, Andrea?" I gave a mock annoyed face, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Traffic was a nightmare, and parking was even worse", he pulled me in for a hug, holding me tightly. "I'm sorry I'm late, princesa."
I thought about it for a second, then smiled, jabbing my fingers into his sides, laughing when he jumped, "It's okay, amigo, I'm just happy you're here. I was about to go get a taxi."
He looked stunned at my confession and quickly shook his head. "That won't do. Santi and Henri would never forgive me."
At the mention of my best friend's name I started looking around, which made Andrew chuckle, "He doesn't know you're here, don't worry."
Helping me with the bags, Andrew lead me out of the airport and to where his car was. My nerves returned. There was no going back now. I could already see Santi's face, basically threatening me to tell Henri.
Andrew's low voice pulled me out of my thoughts, "so, are you gonna tell him then?"
I let out an annoyed groan, "How many people have Santiago talked to?!"
"None, well, me. But we can all see. You love him, and he loves you."
A scoff left my lips at that and he rolled his eyes in response, much like Carter would when he didn't believe me. "He loves you, amiga, and we all know it. That boy never shuts up about you, especially not when you were competing."
I'll believe it when I see it, I thought to myself, and stayed silent for the rest of the drive.
