"He was the reason of her pain"
______________"You sure about this, Ms? We can handle this some other way," Vedika heard but chose to stay numb. Her mind bursting with each words that reached her ears that she so wanted to stop. To stop the eyes of people staring at her. To stop the loud thudding of her heartbeats reaching her ears. To stop everything yet she couldn't.
"You are making a mistake, Vedika. Stop being foolish," her mother passed her a pointed look, as if thinking of what she had done to give birth to this stupid girl.
"Ma'am please..." the lawyer beside her warned her mother to quiet down without bringing a issue in the court room where the only three were present. "Vedika, you wanna say something?" she turned towards the young girl but it had seemed that she was lost in her own world. Her lack of response was enough to make the lawyer sigh and build her mother's nerves up in frustration.
The magistrate entered and her lawyer motioned her to stand up as she did before silence spread across the large court room that Vedika found to awful. Far end of her seat, she heard some footsteps and soon the sound of the chair screeching slightly had made through and she knew who was it.
Abhimanyu Rajvansh sat on the other end of the chair followed by his lawyer and Rhea, his PA standing beside him, there few other people too that she could never recognize. She noticed the way the female magistrate had looked at him and then landing her eyes on her. Wasn't his mistress or particularly his future wife here? Vedika thought.
"Do you Vedika Shrivastav, fully agree with this official separation?"
Her mother turned stiff on her seat, expecting at least her daughter to change up her mind and disagree on this but Vedika maintained silence. Everyone present in the room anticipated for her answer as the magistrate cleared her throat. Her eyes lifted up with a strong emotion in her them. "I do."
The papers slide in front of her and without any thought, she signed it while she could hear the magistrate saying something towards them. "Mr Rajvansh, you have any thing to say into this?"
Rhea quickly got up from her seat and rushed towards her that Vedika feared that the woman would trip ahead of her and fell because of high heels. "Ma'am, you have to return back all things given by Rajvanshs," she declared and for awhile, Vedika sucked her breath in. Her hand subconsciously moving to her womb. There was no since of her being pregnant and no one even knew it, including her parents. Her string of trust on humans was broken!
The latter nodded slightly before she slide the ring out of her finger. "I don't need it. Keep that with you." The cold voice echoed in the court room, letting Vedika's lashes to lift towards the heartless man, his eyes were still fixed glaring at the desk with his jaw clenched together.
"I would... but perhaps I don't need to be called as a gold digger." She slammed the ring on the desk. The ring was the precious thing given to because it costed lakhs for someone like her, as Roop tried to put in.
With that, the girl turned around and rushed out of the room, ignoring the calling of her name by the lawyer and her mother. Vedika reached out of the court as her throat died for some fresh air. Did she do a right thing of not telling him about their child?
No! It was not his baby. It was only hers and she was going to give it birth to it no matter what and there was Rajvansh taking it away from her. Never, she decided.
A cab came into her view and she waved her hand vigorously and she hopped in when it stopped ahead of her. "Where to Ma'am? The driver glanced at her before she had let her head fell back. Somewhere away from the Rajvanshs.
