"It feels good for you to be here."
I heard Meera laugh as I passed her a genuine smile but that died of when my eyes met Roop's and the orange juice turned sardonic in my stomach. Two years and I still found myself hating her. I could tell she felt the same for me too.
"How did you convince him?" I asked Meera, recalling Yuvaan's dislike towards the idea of returning India.
Meera twirled the bar stool she was seating on. "Oh it was a tough job. Yuvaan threw up a fight, you know."
I rolled my eyes as I continued sipping the juice. "Liar."
She laughed again as I caught her lie. "No really, he didn't wanted to be here," she said, all the playfulness dying down in her voice.
"Speaking of Yuvaan, I have to go find him," she said as she stood straight and adjusted her saree's blouse.
"I hope it doesn't have something to do with the bite marks on your chest," I teased as she turned her face to meet mine with wide eyes and an open mouth.
"I thought my stylish had hid them!" She exclaims before walking to wherever her husband was.
"Hello love."
I heard the musky, deep voice behind me as I suppressed a shiver that dared to travel down my spine when he placed his hand behind my back and caressed the skin that was bare due to my backless blouse.
"You wish," I smirked as I turned to face Abhimanyu and a scowling-face Shravani in his arms. I chuckled at how cute she looked with that tiny scowl. It always reminded me of Abhimanyu.
She was more of Abhimanyu than me and that was his biggest flex.
"Rey just told me to get lost from his precious sight," she complained and hid her face in Abhimanyu's chest. I didn't blame Reyansh though, sometimes I wish I could tell that to her myself too.
"Definitely was his fault, what did he do?" I asked, even when I know it was the opposite.
"Oh he is a brat!" She snarled.
"I can agree on that, little love," Abhimanyu said as I took Shravani in my lap and sat on the bar stool next to mine.
"Missed me, love?"
He pushed a strand of dark lock which fell on his thick eyebrow behind.
"And here I was thinking about Henry Cavil the whole time," I said to put him off.
Shravani bubbed a laugh as she saw her father's narrow eyes as I held her closer. "What?" I deadpanned at him. "Henry Cavil is attractive."
"Not the answer I wanted from my wife," he snarled and I shook my head. "I am your girlfriend. There is a difference between wife and girlfriend."
"You are my wife!" He exclaimed and I knew I was working on a thin line because I could tell he wasn't liking how our conversation was going.
"We are not married, Abhimanyu," I responded as I pinched Shravani's cheeks but she just scowled at me. Like father, like daughter.
"Then marry me."
I admired how he demanded me to marry him even when he was joking. "Nice joke," I laughed but frowned when he stood up and held his hand in front of me.
