She was every where.
Her blossom jasmine scent seemed to linger every place of my villa even if it was barely days of her setting foot in my house. It seemed to affect every cell in my body like lightening that jolted every day in me was not something I had looked out for.
"Yeah Rhea, I don't need your boss. Your boss needs me. Probably that is why he is so interested in seeing my pathetic face again."
Pathetic face, my ass.
The words that rolled out from her parted natural pink lips were meant for my goddamn secretary but it seemed to snuck and come biting me. Vedika thought she was worthless in my life but if she knew the dark thoughts that ran inside my mind every time she was near me she would run away from me. The three dots of mark on my hand by the fork she had thrusted yesterday was an assurance of that.
I should have been furious but the look in her honey eyes made me instead impressed.
She was wild.
If only I knew that about her, I could have explored her wilderness somewhere else, somewhere more effective. Like in my bed where I nowadays seemed to imagine her to be. Or in bathroom. Perhaps in my office too. That woman had the underworld after her life and she though that she didn't had any worth in my life. For a smart doctor, my wife really thought some stupid, irrelevant things.
Fucking hell.
There were two rules I had learned when I was at the age of fifteen. First—stay the fuck away from other people business until it involves you and secondly—don't think about something that brings distraction and a weakness in your life. My father never failed me to remind those two things by kicking his expensive boots into my ribs whenever I appeared to think and show my emotions which he used as an excuse to kick me again in my ribs.
Shivansh said Father liked doing that but I believe he loved doing that. To see his sons in pain as the satisfaction would fill his corrupted veins and the smirk that curled around his lips was a confirmation of that.
But now, thirty years of my life, I think I deserve the kicking because my mind was wandering back to my villa where I forced a woman to stay with smart brain who allowed it go stupid from time to time, eyes of honey that seemed to have a mouth of its own and pink lips that trailed sass more than one could imagine she possessed.
Turns out, I wasn't the only one in the villa who she was making them see red.
Think from your brain, not from between your legs, Rajvansh.
My consciousness had kicked me the dozens times where I only sat and thought about her when my mind should have been focused on assignment of the illegal firearms laid in front of my eyes. "Is it the glass you hate or the drink, Rajvansh?" My glare fixed on the glass of whiskey turned more obvious as I heard an awful chuckle beside me. His voice had my attention distracting away from my glass to the Greek in front of me and suddenly, I wished it was someone's neck in between my hand rather than my glass so it could have been easier for my snap.
He chuckled again. I swear he had the world's worst fucking laugh.
"Neither," I gritted, my jaws clenching together as I glanced around the room that had the members of the Cartel and the Greek mafia siblings named after the God and Goddess of Greek. Un—fucking—believe, okay.
"Want me to help you then, Rajvansh. Perhaps Aphrodite could help, right?" Zeus chided with a raised eyebrow towards his sister and the latter should up on those six-inches red heels. Her blue eyes looking at my face and trailed lower until it stopped at the region beneath my belt. Pushing a strand of golden hair behind her ear, Aphrodite passed me her suggestive smile of white pearls.
