Interrogation

She tried to throw another punch towards my temple, which would have inevitably knocked me out, but I ducked just in the nick of time and countered her move.

Our skills matched each other's perfectly. I was taller than her, my advantage could have been her head. She was shorter than me, her advantage could have been my legs but we both continued to mirror each other.

I let her get a few punches in until I noticed she started to get tired as her breaths became heavier. I took advantage of that and struck her in the side of the head, weakening her senses so I could get in her mind.

You're nothing compared to me Natasha. Nothing. Just give up. You're never going to win this fight.

I could tell she was almost completely out of it so I brought her head down forcefully onto my knee, completely knocking her out.

I dragged her unconscious body into one of the stalls and shut it before cleaning up any blood and leaving.

I saw Steve sat back down at the table, he checked his watched clearly curious as to where Natasha went.

I exited the restaurant and got back into my mercedes.

I began to drive home, a large smile on my face as I basked in my success. I switched on the music and tapped my fingers to the beat on the steering wheel.

Illuminating lights of a car grew closer and closer to the side of my vehicle. I noticed it was a red light for them but they weren't slowing down. I had no time to swerve before they plummeted directly into the passenger door.

A deafening ringing in my ears. I lifted my hand to my ear. Blood. I continued up my face. Blood. My hand reached the side of my head where it had collided with the window adjacent to me. Blood.

My head was pounding, pulsating almost. I wanted to surrender myself to Lucifer right then and there. The pain was unbearable.

I looked to my left, my eyes half open. Exhausted. The redhead and the blonde were walking towards me. I tried to lift my hand but I was entirely incapable. Paralysed. The door opened and before my brain collapsed on me, I was pulled out.

Another blow to my skull. And then another. And then another.

"I asked you a goddamn question. Who do you work for?" Steve Rogers asked me.

"Easy there America, that vein on your forehead looks like it's about to burst." I nonchalantly stated as red rolled down my face.

Interrogation. What an idiotic approach. There really is no point in them keeping me here. If they don't already know who I work for, and I don't tell them, there's only one thing they can really do, which is kill me. Even then, they would be getting no information from me.

"Steve, come on, she's not going to spill." The redhead stated while looking down at me.

"Keep looking at me like that, miss, and I just might." I whispered seductively, deliberately trying to get a rise out of her.

"Let me pummel her." Steve mumbled to Natasha loud enough for me to hear.

"Sounds like someone's got a crush." I claimed, my voice a higher octave and sounding intentionally aggravating to provoke the man.

He lunged towards me, a balled fist. Natasha pressed her hand to his chest.

"Stop it." She whispered.

They stared directly into each other's eyes. From what I could concur, pure lust in Steve's and in Natasha's, nothing.

That was strange. I couldn't read her. I could get in her mind, but not read it. An aspect of control over the mind is reading people through their eyes. Her's were steel. Completely. As if they could look right through me. The most breathtaking eyes I'd ever seen if I do say so myself but... there was nothing behind them. Did the blow to my head corrupt my power?

I focused on reading Steve's mind to which I succeeded. Well the power wasn't gone. Quite unusual.

"Leave me alone with her, go rest." The redhead told him before he glared at me one more time.

I waved.

"Ta ta Stevey." I joked.

"Shut it." Natasha said firmly, pulling up a chair in front of me.

"That's no way to treat your guest is it beautiful?"

She rolled her eyes and sighed. It was almost as if she knew there was no winning this. Just like I told her when I was in her head.

"Can you please just cooperate with me?"

Natasha sounded tired. Too tired to argue with me in that moment. She was fed up of my games.

"Only if you beg." I said lowly, my head leant forward, my mouth adjacent to her ear.

I heard her gulp as she realised how dry her throat was. A light crimson began to creep up her face before she quickly stood up and walked out of the room. Leaving me here. Alone. In a cage. Like some animal.

I hung my head down, allowing my eyes to close just for a second before I drifted off to sleep, exhaustion consuming me.

I woke in the morning to a bucket of ice cold water being thrown over me.

Natasha Romanoff.

"If you wanted to see me wet you could've just asked." I teased.

The games had already begun.

"Fuck it. I'm done with the bullshit." She said to no one specifically.

She untied me from the chair. Her hand brushing against the skin of my arm sent a pain through across it. Like dropping food into a pan it even sizzled. Seemingly the same happened to her too. I sucked in air through my teeth and clenched my fist.

"What the fuck?" She asked rhetorically to no one in particular.

I just stared at the ground. Contemplating what this could have been a cause of. It hadn't happened when we were fighting, although now, I had discovered my underlying attraction to her. She was pretty but, a fucking menace.

I sat for a moment longer, evaluating. I had nothing. Nothing like that had ever happened before.

"What did you do to me?" She yelled aggressively.

"I should be asking you the same question." I replied.

She lingered for a minute longer before commanding me to follow her. We made our way to a rooftop where it seems she was going to try to threaten me, where there was nowhere to run.

"Miss Romanoff, I must say you are quite romantic."

"This isn't a date." She spat back bitterly.

"Whatever you say darling. Anyway, I do appreciate the offer, really, I'm flattered but I'm afraid that our time is up. It really was nice getting to know you Natasha." I stated.

I began to walk backwards towards the edge of the roof, Natasha mimicking my movement.

"Y/N, get away from there."

"I'll see you around Romanoff."

With that I fell backwards off of the roof and tapped my ring twice to be teleported back to my house.

I'll see you around indeed Natasha Romanoff.
