My eyes fluttered open. My wrists were restricted by zip ties. My legs too.
My senses were stable enough for me to recognise that my ring was gone. That could have been my escape, Natasha must have told them what it does.
Not only were my rings gone, I was in a new set of.. my clothes. A silky, cream coloured shirt paired with some burgundy dress trousers. Someone took these from my house.
Of course. Natasha Romanoff again. She really needs to keep out of my private things.
The metallic sound of a sliding door filled my ears, Tony Stark entered alongside Bruce Banner.
"Hey kid." He started.
Why was he being so friendly? I'm sure Natasha told them who I was.
"Kid? I find that highly discriminative. My face is simply young-looking and you assume I'm a kid?" I stall.
He rolls his eyes.
"How old are you?" Bruce Banner asks.
"You should know it's rude to ask a lady their age doc." I teased.
He began to stutter and his face turned mildly red.
"I'm just kidding. I'm 24." I told them.
The time spent with the two consisted of Banner trying to find out all of the abilities I have and the extra specialities I had under them categories. I did in fact by the end just tell them since it was boring listening to them argue back and forth about the dangers and advantages of my powers.
I rolled my head back and yawned obnoxiously which inhibited their arguing and made them look at me.
"So, Y/N, I can call you that, right? Or.. I can do better. Your highness, your excellency, your majesty. What would you prefer? You know, with you being the leader of Alevler Evi and all I'd assume you're treated like a royal." Tony ranted, sarcasm laced in his voice.
"Y/N is fine, what do you want?" I replied.
"Your powers, they could be used for the good rather than the bad. You could have a good thing going for you, joining us. You could use your powers in ways you've never even thought of." Tony finally made his point.
He wanted me to join The Avengers.
"That's a bit absurd Tony, you've known me, what, 12 hours, you know i'm the leader of obviously a highly dangerous group and yet you want to recruit me."
"Well, I'm willing to take the risk. It seems Natasha trusts you." Tony told me.
Natasha. She trusted me. I suppose I could have if she didn't double cross me the way she did. Well, I've learned my lesson- trust no one. Although, this could be a great way to get back at her.
Not necessarily kill her.
Well.
Yes kill her.
"I'll join." I told Tony.
He gave Bruce a look as if to suggest that he was expecting me to put up more of a debate.
"Great we'll get you situated then." He told me.
Bruce led me to my room which was located once again on the top floor of the building of what I assume was The Avengers Tower. My things were already in my room as if they weren't going to take no for an answer no matter how much I protested.
My covers were black, like at home.
Natasha's doing again.
I sat down on my bed, planning out how I was going to live these next couple of months with The Avengers. With the Black Widow. My arch nemesis it seems at this point.
Time skip
I was led on bed facing the ceiling throwing a ball up into the air and catching it. My door creaked open and I quickly shot up with my knife raised.
"Jesus Y/N it's me." Natasha introduced herself.
"Oh. You. Well you fuck right off." I told her and led back down.
She rolled her eyes before I felt the bed dip next to me. I could feel her eyes on my face before she started speaking.
"So you're an avenger now?" She asked idiotically.
"No my stuff is here and I'm in this room just for the stay because I love The Avengers so much, I've always wanted to be one, they're literally my idols and hey, by the way, can I have your autograph?" I said, satire clear in the tone of my voice.
She chuckled a little, obviously amused by me.
"I'm sorry Y/N. I really thought you would hurt me first so I called for the Avengers. The truth is I was scared of you." She admitted.
"Oh well. I'm here now." I stated matter-of-factly.
It seems she was utterly astounded by the fact that I showed no anger towards her despite what she had done. Truth is, I'm boiling inside, I want to bounce her head off of the wall. She doesn't need to know that though. If I act like I don't dislike her then I might be able to get a clearer shot of killing her.
I know she's my soulmate and all but after all it was impossible for me to feel any form of love so it shouldn't be so hard to kill her.
I didn't feel connected to her in any way as far as I know. A silly little burn mark means nothing. It's just a thing. Nothing meaningful. Nothing valuable.
She flopped back on the bed so we were laying together, our legs hanging over the side of it.
I could see her through my peripheral vision.
She was already staring at me.
"Stop looking at me, it's annoying." I said.
I knew she was smirking at that moment. Smirking at the fact that I caught her. Smirking because she wanted me to catch her.
"Do you wanna go get something from the kitchen and come back to watch a movie until the party later?" She asked.
"Party?" I repeated.
"Oh yeah that's what I was here for, Tony wanted me to tell you there's a party later at 9, a celebration for you joining." She told me.
"I'll be there." I replied.
"Great... so, that movie?" She asked hesitantly.
"Fine." I replied and got set up while she went to get the snacks.
Oh this plan is going smoothly already.
