I hit the gun up before she could make a move. I kicked her in her ribs, away from me, she landed atop my bed behind her.
I quickly rushed to pin her down, my hand wrapped around her throat and the other restricting her hands above her head. I could feel her shuffling under my grasp, trying to escape.
"It's no use Natasha. I'm stronger than you." I told her.
She tried to hit my head against hers but I dodged the movement.
"Y/N- you're- hurting me." She gasped.
My eyes washed over with what seemed like guilt. I slowly released my hand from her throat and her hands.
As soon as I let go she shot up, coughing and spluttering as she desperately tried to catch her breath.
I moved away from her, into the corner of my room. I continued to walk backwards until my back hit the wall behind me. I watched her, keeping my distance.
"Can we talk about this?" She asked.
"What's there to talk about? You caught me. You foiled my plans, just like you intended. You're supposed to be going to get Tony right now." I said, not making eye contact with her.
She began walking towards me.
"I think you should stay back." I said.
She put her hands out in front of her.
"I'm not going to hurt you Y/N." She reassured me.
She took my hands in hers and guided me back to my bed. We both sat down next to one another.
We remained in silence.
"I'll wait here as long as you need until you're ready to talk." She told me.
Time skip
Time went by, the silence grew louder. I'd finally calmed down enough so that I was ready to talk.
"We can talk now." I told her.
She nodded.
"Why didn't you kill me, you had the chance, why didn't you take it?" She asked me, her head tilted upwards, trying to catch my eyes.
"I told you I'd never hurt you. I kept that promise." I replied.
"I'm sorry, for plotting against you. I didn't think that I'd be this.. fond of you so I took the assignment. But now I realise that you're a person, just like the rest of us, and you have a reason for doing what you do, just like the rest of us." She apologised.
"That doesn't make what I do forgivable. I know I'm a bad person." I admitted.
"Yes you might have been, but I think you just needed a chance to prove yourself. I know you want to be good, to do good, and I know that you've never been given the chance to do so. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to give you a chance." She told me.
"What about the rest of the team?" I asked.
"We'll pretend nothing happened, as far as they know I'm still trying to get information out of you. Let's keep it that way." She said.
I nodded in agreement and smiled.
"What?" She laughed.
"I don't know. I guess you're beautiful too." I replied.
"Careful Y/N, it sounds like you almost like me." She said, repeating my words from earlier.
"Oh please, don't flatter yourself." I replied, repeating hers.
That was it. The deal was set. She'd given me the chance to prove myself.
I sent an email to the team telling them that the Avengers wouldn't be a problem anymore. To only focus on the bad people. Not the good. They didn't question as to why I might still be here, why should they? I'm their boss.
Natasha watched me. Smiling big as I hit send.
"Wanna finish that movie?" She asked.
"Sure." I replied.
We got set up. The laptop across our laps as we laid next to one another. I had half expected Natasha to fall asleep by now, like before. Instead I felt her hand move under the duvet to find mine.
When she found it, she interlocked our fingers and I rubbed my thumb against hers.
She rested her head on my shoulder and we continued to watch the movie.
Throughout the whole day we watched movies, occasionally had food breaks and watched more movies.

I stroked her face with the back of my hand as she began to fall asleep in my arms.
I traced over all of her features gently with my fingertips and caught myself gazing at her. She really was beautiful.
Skin as smooth as a baby. Plump lips. Eyes that grew darker in between love and lust. I knew she wanted me. She wanted to be near me at all times but she also wanted me in that way.
She wanted to know what it felt like for me to kiss her neck. To touch her body.
To kiss her.
As I continued to stroke her face, my heart began to feel heavy.
With every light breath released from from her perfectly shaped nose, the rising and falling of her chest, my stomach felt light.
The feeling frightened me.
I quickly moved away but not so fast as to wake her up from her slumber.
I'd never had a feeling like that in my whole, evil, complicated and torturous life.
Never.
I wasn't familiar with it.
I didn't plan to ever be.
I decided to go downstairs and make myself a drink, leaving Natasha in my room asleep.
Who are you Natasha Romanoff? Why did you come into my life now?
