Chapter 15

Felicity's pov.

I woke up feeling dizzy. I sigh as I saw a hand on my arm. I'm in a hospital gown. I exhaled in relief as I discovered that we are not in my Father's hospital... but I know later he would be here because this hospital is just in the same city.

"You are awake." I saw Rhys' concern face.

I nodded and slowly sat.

"Is the baby fine?" I asked and he seemed to process what I asked him, he stared at me for a minute and then, nodded.

"The baby is fine." He said and smiled at me. That smile shows the mixture of relief, pain, and exhaustion.

"Why did you let me get hospitalized here? Didn't I tell you that I don't want to be in a hospital in this city?" I coldly asked him.

He ran his fingers to his hair. "I was anxious. When you fainted, I just rushed you to the nearest hospital."

"But-" He cut me off.

"You and the baby's safety comes first to me. I don't care about what would people say, I need you to be safe."

I swallowed and felt like my eyes are getting wet again.

I diverted my gaze at the door when I heard a loud bang from there. I saw my Dad's furious face.

He walked towards us in a nimble manner. My eyes grew wide as he punched Rhys' face.

"Dad!" I shouted and tried to be in the middle, to stop anything that may happen, but Dad is very quick that he even hold at Rhys' collar and Rhys on the other hand, is just letting all of these things to happen.

Dad already knew? Oh my God!

My hand is trembling. I've seen Dad being so angry a lot of times but I know right now is very different.

"Jesus! Young man, you are such a bullshit! Damn you!" He shouted at Rhys.

I bit my lower lip to stop myself from saying anything. Why is he doing that? Dad knows this situation too well, he had been in this situation, yet he act like he didn't- like he's some kind of a good man and a good husband to his wife.

Like he never had an affair to my Mom, and having me as his daughter from their illicit affair.

"Sir! I'm sorry about what happened." Rhys said and Dad didn't bother to give a fuck about he said as he punched his face again.

"My daughter got pregnant by you- a married man and now the news came out. It was shameful! I can't face my colleagues, friends, and relatives... You two are disgusting!"

Tears slowly pooled from my eyes. "Why? Dad? I bet you know this situation too well. I followed the path my Mom had walked to... and Rhys did the same mistake as you did—" my words was cut when I felt my Father's hand on my cheeks.

"Sir! She's pregnant! If there's anyone you can pour your anger, that would be me." He said and my Dad didn't make any attention to him and he tried to hit me again but this time, Rhys blocked those aggressive actions coming from him.

I gulp as I heard how loud the punches my father threw at Rhys but Rhys didn't flinch or bother to say anything... he just covered me. Making me feel safe.

"It was an accident!" I shouted.

It was true, this was all pure accident! All I want is to have a good one night stand with Rhys that night but little did we know, a baby would be brought to us.
