Rhys' pov.

"Rhys, dude! This is so messed up!" Ken is fuming. He knows that I messed up. He knows that in a fuck's world that I am miserable right now. I got someone pregnant. He knows that I slept with someone before I married Michaela and how big the consequence of it.

"You know what happened! I'm not making any justifications! I slept with her the night before marrying Michaela and I didn't intend to what is happening right now!" I explained even though I know in fuck's name that I don't even need to explain it to him.

"You got her pregnant for that night? You?!" He shouted in my face.

"Yes!" I shouted.

"Do you really think that's yours?"

"Ken! Fuck! Of course, it's mine! I trust her. Why are so invested in my problem anyway? It's not like I'm asking you to take charge of Felicity!"

"Jesus! I won't bother looking after her and for you Rhys! If our friends learned about this, I won't cover up for you! But Michaela is still my cousin even if she's messed up too! That's why I told you not to marry her!"

"It's already done. Damn, I'll figure this out. I'm just asking you to give me some time." I sat at the counter's chair and drank the rum.

"I know you like Felicity or maybe even fell for her for who knows! But that's why I asked you to man up and stop the wedding!" he is so invested in my problem. I poured another whiskey into my glass and prompted to drink it but Ken stopped me and then decided to sit beside me.

"Michaela loves someone else Rhys, and you too." My jaw clenched as to what he said.

"I don't love someone, Ken." I snatched the glass in Ken's hand. I might like Felicity but it's not like what Ken is thinking.

I'm at fault for caving in for Felicity. Yes, I was tempted. My family arranged my marriage with Michaela, and both of us knew that we didn't feel anything for each other. Michaela and I know that it's just all about business and nothing more. I don't care about what she does in her life and she doesn't care about mine but we talked that whatever is happening in our private lives, it wouldn't affect the business- the marriage.

"You too are just fooling yourselves. This is getting harder as it gets, Rhys. You know my cousin is cheating on you! You cover up for her but do you think she will do the same for you? Have you ever talked to her?" I placed my hand on my forehead as I tried to myself calm.

I talked to Michaela lots of times but damn, that woman is making it more complicated.

"I got someone pregnant, Michaela." I seriously told her as she pretended not to see me standing in front of her as she carefully looked at her newly manicured nails.

"This is serious Michaela, care to pay attention?" I added, this time she looked at me with bored eyes.

"Then what? It's your problem, not mine." She said and stood up from her seat. She was about to go to her room but I grabbed her wrist. She looked at me with disbelief eyes.

"What?! You'll ask me for divorce again? Oh wait, is she the reason why you told me that you can't marry me the night before our wedding? The girl you slept with that night?" Humor is spreading on her face. She pulled her arm.

"Then ask her to abort the baby, Rhys. Easy as that! I won't risk everything that my family is giving me just because of that girl." She said before starting to walk away.

"Won't you like freedom? If we got divorced, you can marry the man you love." I said without looking at her.

"I can't marry him, Rhys. Marriage is a messed up thing anyway." She said before going upstairs.
