Right, where's my sexy list?
I don't know what that font is, but I'd give it an 11/10 [except for the @ symbol, of which I still don't know how I feel about].
The Grand Planner
I have been known to write a pros/cons list now and again, entitling them things such as, "Should I drop out of uni?", "Should I quit my job?", and "Should I nap in the sun instead of writing my mental health thesis due in three weeks?"No harm done. Mostly. (RIP my thesis).
There is this one thing about pros/cons lists though (of which I hate typing, and will now call P/C lists because I can):
It is almost impossible to weigh the contents of these lists out against each other, and even if you do manage it (there's this neat little app that makes percentages and- no one cares), you still can't really rely on it to make a decision for you. The P/C list only reflects your point of view in the present - and let me stress this to you, it is biased.
Hot example:
Should I break up with my toxic boyfriend I know is toxic, but still love? Can you see what I mean? If my imaginary boyfriend is toxic and overbearing and helicoptering me like mad, then obviously I should break up with him.
But my P/C list would say otherwise, right? Even if I weighed those points, my Cons list far outweighs the Pros of splitting up, unless I have beauty sleep as 10 stars, etc.
This is because in this moment, I don't want to break up with him. I love him.
And my list reflects that.
🙄
So, enough of toxicity. Let's learn about online self-publishing.
