Carina’s POV
I was so tired and I just wanted to sleep but Maya wasn’t in the room and I didn’t want to sleep alone. A couple of minutes of just lying there Maya came back into the room with puffy eyes. “Why on world are you crying bambina?” she just smiled at me and said “It’s on earth why on earth” And of course I got another idiom wrong. “Carina I am so sorry but Andrew he was in an accident and he didn't make it. He was on his way to the hospital when a truck came out of nowhere and hit him and I am so so sorry my love but he's gone.” Said lying next to her and hugging her.
She broke down crying into my arms after a couple of minutes her ass whole boss came in the room. “Sorry for the interruption well actually no I’m not sorry cause Tom Koracick I am not sorry for anyone anyway DeLuca Ima need you to get your lazy ass of that bed In about an hour and back to work and your little visitors to leave and how many times do i have to tell you to stop taking babies from the NICU” Tom said half yelling at an upset Carina. What he didn’t know was that the visitor was her wife and the babies were hers she just gave birth to and that her brother died three minutes after her son was born.
“Who in hell are you to yell at her and boss her around and call her lazy? Do you have any clue who you are talking to right now and do you even know the situation she is in?” Maya yelled getting up and getting in his face “Yeah one of my most lazy employees and someone who is gonna lose her job so you better watch who you are talking to princess” Tom said backing up from Maya. “Besides, who do you think is coming into my hospital yelling at me like that?” Tom added “ I am Captain Maya DeLuca Bishop of Seattle fire and also the wife of that doctor you are yelling at.” Tom’s face showed that he was scared of Maya.
“And those babies that are there are ours she was just in labor and on top of all that her baby brother a doctor of your and a very good man died three minutes after our son was born so you better watch that tone before I hurt you in every way imaginable and possible andI will do everything in my power to get you fired and maybe locked up for yelling at a woman who just gave birth and just lost her brother.” Maya said and I am pretty sure Tom peed his pants and he left the room without forgetting to say sorry.
“We are three lucky people to have you in our lives Maya” I said crying as she got back in bed with me. She got up and grabbed our daughter and handed her to me and went to get our son and she sat next to me on the bed. “I promise to alway protect you always and forever till my last breath because you guys are my entire life.” Maya said giving me and kissing and kissing our babies too. After a couple of minutes of just sitting with the kids and crying a nurse came into the room. “Hi sorry for the interruption. I just want to say congratulations on the twins and I’m so sorry for what happened to your brother.” the doctor said and just half smiled and nodded my head.“So have you picked out a name for the babies yet” she asked.
