Maya’s POV
It's been a couple of months since we found out about the twins and we have gotten everything ready because Carina is about pop like any day the doctor said. Right now we are in the living room talking about who is gonna be in the room with us. “I want my brother to be there” Carina said and I'm pretty sure she’s going crazy. “Baby, how do you want your brother in the delivery room? He is your brother. He’ll be basically seeing your bits and pieces” said and replied with “ Well of course he won't see I just want him in there he is the second person I trust and if something goes wrong I want him to be there.” Carina said. “Well that's why I’m gonna be there. Isn’t that what my role is in their life? If something goes wrong, I'll be there.” I told Carina and she just looked at me and laughed
“No bambina of course you'll be there and for that reason too I just mean if the stupid doctor does something wrong Andrea will be there to help cause he is a doctor.” Carina said as if she was saying ‘duh’ “Oh that makes sense. Okay he can be there.” I said and she got all happy and hugged me while peppering my face with kisses. “Alright alright that's enough.” I said pushing her off but cuddling with her and we both ended up falling asleep after a very long day.
So the people who are gonna be in the room are Andy, me, Carina, Andrew and Arizona and to be honest I’m not sure if it’s gonna be weird since Arizona was gonna be there but I don’t think it will cause we all have been getting along so well and especially Andy and Arizona have gotten close. The next day me and Carina were gonna make breakfast together, which is french toast, one of Carina's favorite things to make for me but we ended up realizing we were missing some stuff so I went out to buy the stuff. I was halfway through the line when I got a call from Carina.
Mi bambina: Hey babe im- “I didn’t get to finish my sentence Carina cut me off”
Italian Hottie: Call everyone and come to the hospital now these babies are cominggggg ahhhhhh
Mi Bambina: OH MY GOD THERE I GO
“I shouted forgetting I was in the store and I left my spot in line to go to the hospital. Calling everyone to meet at the hospital and they did. As I was on my way to Grey-Sloan I was on the phone with Andrew when I heard a big crash then he ended the call. I kept on calling Andrew while we were all in the room waiting for Carina to be 10 centimeters dilated. Once she was ready to push I was called out of the room by one of Carina’s doctor friends. “Hey April I don’t know if you know but Carina is in labor right now” I said to her as I was pointing at the door.
I went back inside the room with a terrified look on my face. “Mayaaaaaaaaaaaa” Carina shouted my name. I quickly ran to her and grabbed her hand. Andy could see something was wrong because she said “Maya what’s with the face” I Hadn’t realized I was crying until Arizona said something “MAya why are you crying” I just looked at them and shook my head. At 3:45 am baby A was born and she was beautiful just like her mama. “Alright here is baby A” The doctor said and four minutes later at 3:49 am baby B was born “Congratulations mama here is your baby boy the doctor said as she handed Carina our son.
“giuro su Dio quando vedrò andrea lo ucciderò per non essere qui” Carina said in italian confusing us all “English baby english” I said laughing at her “ I said I swear to god when I see andrea I am going to kill him for not being here.'' Carina said and my heart dropped. “Maya bambina what’s wrong?” Carina said, grabbing my hand and all I could do was pull away and run out the room and into the O.R. “Maya you can’t be in here “ Jo said as I walked through the doors “NO WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM WHY DID YOU GUYS STOP” I said while screaming and crying.
“We were too late Maya, he's gone. Time of death 3:52 am” Callie said, pulling me into a hug and I just ran out of the O.R.
A/N: idk why I chose that title for the chapter and now that I have a couple of chapters I don't know why the book is called after I met her ex I guess I'm just plain dumb but anyways hope you enjoy
