1st September 1990

Regulus Black was once the star of the quidditch team. Now he is a husband and a father. He was once a dead wizard who lead a secret life in the muggle world. Now he is living.

Danica Black was once the best Hufflepuff Seeker for centuries. Now she is a wife and a mother. She once went through a great deal of suffering. Now she is free.

Together, they got through life, had children at eighteen and managed to work and find ways to live as orphans who only had each other. Of course, they had their friends, but in the end, it was just the two of them.

Two became four. And now the twins are leaving, going off to school.

"Just run at the wall," Danica is saying to them as they make their way through King's Cross Station.

"Imagine if it doesn't work and you get left behind," Teddy teases Rose.

"Hey!" She says and pokes him in his side.

Teddy pokes her back and Rose goes to do it again.

"Stop it," Regulus steps between them.

The twins look up at him then straight ahead at where they're going as they push their trollies. After a while, Regulus drops back so he can walk next to Danica and he takes her hand, the twins walking in front.

Teddy and Rose get to platform nine and then turn around to face their parents.

"Now what?" Rose says.

"Run at the wall," Danica says, a smile on her lips.

"Mum..." Teddy says, looking at the bricks and wincing at the thought of running into them.

"Joking," Danica says, ruffling her son's hair. "We'll go with you."

They obviously relax and Regulus looks at Danica who is laughing softly.

"Come on," he says, putting a hand on Rose's shoulder and leading her to face the wall. "Run with me."

Rose takes a deep breath and looks up at him.

"Promise it won't hurt?" She asks.

"I promise," Regulus says, squeezing her shoulder. "Let's go."

They start moving, gathering speed, both their hands on the handle of the trolley. The wall gets closer and closer and Regulus feels the thrill that he felt all those times of doing this as he left home for a whole year of school. He hopes that his children never dream of escaping as he did. The trolley hits the wall but it goes through it and a moment later, Regulus and Rose are on the other side of the barrier.

"Whoa!" Rose says and looks around.

Teddy and Danica appear next to them and Teddy gasps.

Danica takes Regulus's hand and he smiles down at her.

"Guess who I just saw," Danica says quietly as their family moves slowly through the crowd of wizard families.

"Who?" Regulus asks.

"Sirius and Remus," she grins.

"They've made it?" Regulus smiles and looks over his shoulder at the barrier.

Danica nods and leans up, kissing his cheek.

Teddy and Rose gape at everything: the sheer amount of people and pets, the noise from excited, nervous and upset people. But the Hogwarts Express is the main place they are looking: the smoke rising from the chimney, children already inside and waving at parents through the windows, and the brightness of the red paint. It's magical.
