Pure and beautiful bliss, these past few days have been, Cole has decided to let his colleagues take over cases for six months, he plans on staying home with me and the boys while we have family time, but a little like me, he has a bee in his bonnet about Matías, he wants to get to the bottom of his plans once and for all. We planned on throwing a party, we haven't had a true get together since moving up here, we have been knee deep in problems and issues.
I called Piper, Prue and Paige, i told them of a party in our house, a multiple housewarming for us all, since we all lived in close proximity to each other it might as well be. The months of isolation was up for Sheila and Sonja too, they have totally grasped their new lives. They haven't hurt a single person since their transition. The couple have went about their lives as normal. It seems we have some small mercies to celebrate.
My sisters were delighted to finally have a party. Prue was getting bigger, so we decided that we could turn it into a housewarming and a baby shower at the same time. Prue was around six months gone, she has discovered she was having a girl, but neither her or Andy knew what they were having a girl. They were told it was a boy, we shall see when he or she arrives.
Piper got to work preparing all the food, she called Sheila and Sonja to ask if they had any preferences? They both said they can eat anything, Sonja was a vegan before she turned, but the transition changed her tastebuds she wanted red meat all the time, Sheila went the opposite, she would only eat fish but like they stipulated, they could eat anything. Piper enjoyed cooking for many people, with the restaurant she always had lots of left over food, much of which went to the garbage cans.
I think she was glad it was finally being put to good use. Prue suggested we invited Coles parents? I discussed it with Cole and he said if the family is ready, then it's fine with him, he would love to see them. Paige didn't have a problem with them coming, she has already met Elizabeth, she was assigned as her white lighter when Elizabeth got rid of her demonic powers, she had now reached innocent status.
Elizabeth of course wasn't happy, but if anything failed them, such as her cloaking spell, Paige would be there for her, the Elders already knew that Elizabeth hadn't used her demonic powers in almost two centuries. This was another thing that irked me greatly, they knew Elizabeth was alive all these years and never once let any of us know, not even Cole.
Cole back then didn't give a damn about her, but now he worries constantly about them. The new demon leader could lose control at anytime. Enough of worrying what may happen, time to party. Paige informed me that she would be late, she had charges in Europe and she needs to be there for them as they're veering away from their paths.
Sheila and Sonja told us they would feed before coming to that gathering, it seems they had been on a work party and they both got hungry. The couple felt terrible for wanting to feed from friends that they decided to drink blood before work and any gatherings, to keep people safe. I asked Sheila how she and Sonja have been coping, but she told me that they don't cope, they just live each day in love deeper with each other and feel invincible.
I reminded Sheila she wasn't invincible, that one wrong move tonight and both stones become unblessed.
Sheila laughed and replied, "i already had the 411 from Piper, can you take the judgement down a notch? Sonja and i are fine."
I believe her, there's been no reports of vampire attacks. Prue doesn't want a baby shower up here, she wants it in the manor, she wants the baby to sense the power of the nexus. We decided to make plans to travel across in a few weeks, it seems we Halliwell women have our babies a few weeks early, she was right, her baby needs to feel it's power, she needs connected to her lineage.
I received a call from Piper, she would be sending her staff over with the food for tonight, she has a lot to do but she will get it done in a few hours, i told her to get Chris and Wyatt to help. Piper couldn't cook for all the guests alone, but she apparently had it under control, Chris and Wyatt were with Leo learning the ropes of being a white lighter, but what Leo doesn't seem to realise, they're half witches.
The boys need to learn the craft just as much, they also need to be around for Piper as well, Melinda can't be left to pick up all the slack. Melinda is turning seventeen this year, Chris is nineteen and Wyatt is twenty one. I always refer to them as teenagers as that's how they act, especially Wyatt, he's spoiled since he is the first born. Wyatt always demanded that he gets first choice in everything, Chris is kinda neglected, he isn't allowed to do much, but Melinda is the one that is forced to be their slave, she does odd jobs for them for pocket money.
Melinda will be the one sweating over a hot stove alongside her mom all day. I have spoken with Piper how Melinda does too much for her brothers, Piper always makes excuses for them. I have noticed that Paige does the same with her kids, they're a little younger but she puts their white lighter side before their witch side. Henry Jr is mortal, but we have over the years helped him develop the witch inside, the witch that's inside every human.
Finally, the food was sent over, everything was now in place. We just had to await the guests arriving, Cole cleaned the house from top to bottom and he decorated it with all gifts for each of our homes. Cole had pictures painted of all of us, some from the past and some recent. I never knew he was planning it.
Elizabeth and Benjamin arrived, she immediately noticed the paintings, she said, "wow, whomever painted those has a real talent, they look exactly like photographs. You really took a picture of my best side."
Cole said, "i hope you like them, mom? You should hang it in dads study?"
Elizabeth replied, "nope, that picture is going above the mantle piece, i want to see it every morning."
Cole smiled. The others arrived, we began sitting around and regaling each other of the past, the recent past. It turned out to be a fantastic evening, we all played a game of charades, of course Cole and Leo locked horns, simply because Cole was beating him, Leo isn't as well read as Cole, but he thinks he is smarter. It was childish but i believe it to be a way for Leo to gain the upper hand on Cole, since he finds it so hard to let go of the past.
Prue decided we should visit the manor next week, she wants to check it's structure, have it cleaned and make sure the witches we allowed to gather there cleaned whatever they used. I think in truth, Prue misses home, in a way Andy does too, but can they live there again? We believe it would be possible if people have forgotten about them, not so much family, but locals.
I know Tempus rewound time, but as far as the locals know, Prue died as did Andy.
I expressed this to Prue, she said, "it's impossible for us to live there, too many will question our return, but the baby needs to absorb the echo of the nexus."
Prue was right, the baby needs to feel it's power. The nexus is ours, it's in fact for all witches, but only those that can protect it can feel it's echo. We planned on a flying visit to the manor. I of course never let the twins feel it's echo, maybe when we go there, their true gifts will show. It's believed ours were quite visible when we were their age. It was perhaps the nexus that helped our powers emerge?
