A Life Not So Charmed

Desperate Dan.

Paige finally got the call, it was a couple of weeks, but the chemist made gallons of the blood. The man whom none of us knew gave us the ingredients and the chemical process on how to make it, we did try, but we failed but we finally worked it out, Leo helped us, he knew a thing or two just about everything. It was surprising to know he knew chemistry.

Leo was furious with Sheila and Sonja, but they have almost ten weeks of living in the shadows, then we will bless their stones again. It's been hard, but much harder for the families of the lost loved ones. The newspaper read that it was animals that killed the people, Sonja leaked the story to a friend and it gave a cover story for the public. There hasn't been anymore deaths, they got the synthetic blood and they couldn't tell the difference, it quenched their thirst quicker and lasted longer.

We now know how to make it. It was in the kitchen that Piper said, "Phoebe, go and bless the stones. I don't think Sheila and Sonja would be so stupid to betray us again. There's high stakes at play here, pun intended."

I looked at Piper, someone that usually bides her time, wait and see. Piper has changed, but for now, she's giving them a pass. I shimmered to their house and blessed the stones, Sheila was crying, she couldn't apologize and thank me enough. I told her to call and thank Piper. They promised they would.

I left them to it, with a warning. They promised to call us if they run low and they asked that if possible would they be able to make it themselves? I didn't think they could, but Sonja is quite intelligent, Sheila too. I said that i would talk it over with my sisters. I went home and told all three of them what Sheila and Sonja asked, we all agreed to give them the ingredients and the chemical composition to make it. We said we would call to see if they could handle it?

We received word that they were successful in making it. It was a worry off our minds, it means they won't ever run out again. It was the peace of mind we needed for that moment. Now time for us, me, my sisters and our families. We are now looking forward to spending time with our loved ones, I've missed getting on the floor and playing with the boys, Prue really hasn't had time to enjoy Amber.

I called a family meeting to tell everyone to enjoy their families for a little bit, we hadn't sensed much trouble lately, i didn't want to jinx it, but we have been hotfooting it around the country for a few months, not getting enough time to spend with the kids. Piper told us the former P3 now aptly named The Return, is almost complete, that we will be having an open night in a couple of weeks. I'm glad she kept the new name. I was excited and terribly disappointed at the same time.

I will miss the club, it's still in the same location, but the name change has vexed me a little. The club belongs to us all, Piper never asked us once for help in revamping it. The first time or this time. That said, from the pictures it looks amazing so far, we are booked out with acts, some from the past and some very new ones. To update on Piper, she has been to see her doctor, she's been prescribed some medication, but she's chosen not to take it.

Piper wants to use all natural ingredients to help her. I agree, but on the other hand, the potions we make are usually to help others not ourselves, we must find a way around that. That said, we had other news, that Dan who Piper dated many years ago, had been admitted to hospital, we had no idea what was wrong with him, but according to his family he has called out asking for Piper.

We heard that Dan married a few years after he left, we found this odd but he was in hospital here in San Francisco. Dan had been living in Virginia for a long time, the fact he called out for Piper freaked out his family, even though he was purported to have a wife and children? I called the hospital after Dans sister called the house, i pretended to be a family member to get information.

Dan was visiting his sisters and collapsed at their home. It hit us, that maybe when the genie gave him his real age back, that he didn't warn us of consequences. I thought that it was funny, out of all the people, he asked for Piper and not his wife. It was when Prue reminded us when Piper was in hospital with Oroya fever, Piper called out for Leo. It was then we thought that Dan might be close to death.

We told Leo and he said, "go and see him, he might have a message for you. Although Piper must see him alone. There's a reason why he's called for you. I think he's close to death and perhaps wants to get closure with you. He went away of course not knowing, but if this is a side effect, we need to know."

Piper asked Paige to orb her to the hospital, if he's going to die, if they drove he might not be alive when we got there? Piper let go of Paige and walked towards Dans room, she was surprised as he hadn't aged that much, he apparently looked just as good as he did back in the day. Dan's wife Amelia, the same Amelia that he began dating after he and Piper split. Amelia knew Piper well, Amelia used to work at P3.

Amelia approached Piper and said, "he's been calling out for you, the doctors don't know what's wrong with him. If he's dying, it's only right you get to say goodbye."

Piper walked into the room, Dan is lying there with wires coming out from everywhere.

Piper asked Amelia for permission to take his hand, she said, "sure, i have no problem with that."

Piper takes Dan's hand and he wakes up, he says, "I'm remembering everything, i have been since i collapsed, you're a witch. I really need your help. I can't leave my children fatherless. Please help me?"

Piper asked him what exactly he was feeling? Dan replied, "I'm hot, i feel sick. I remember everything from that night in your house, when that fire breathing man attacked, when Leo turned into lights and disappeared. I have seen those lights since collapsing. I'm not ready to leave my boys or Amelia, Piper. If there's a spell you and your sisters can do, please do so. i beg you."

Piper promised Dan she would come and speak with us and see what we can do. I had just the thing, the genie back then was sent by the council, it was dark magic used then, the only person we knew that could help was Elizabeth. I called Elizabeth and told her everything and she said that she would reverse the curse as that's what's effecting him now.

Elizabeth went to the hospital, she took a sample of his blood and went home and lifted the curse. We soon had news that Dan had began to recover well. Dan called and thanked us, he told us that he never told anyone about us, since in the beginning he forgot, but since collapsing he began to remember everything, he said that he would never tell a soul. Piper was relieved that he was ok, that she went and wished him well and left him and his family to get on with their lives.
