Chapter 16

We were on the highway now and the sun was setting me and Olly were signing along to all the old classics of our childhood. But it all ended in a second, in a flash. I heard the car horn just before the bright headlights crashed in to the side of my car. It pushed us of the highway, the car flew up into the air, for a moment I looked at Olly with terrified eyes. He looked at me with sorrow and sadness before the car crashed on the ground. I blacked out, I'm awake inside I can hear the nurses. I can hear the sobs of my mother next to me. I try my best to wake up, open my eyes but it just won't happen. I needed to see Olly, I need to know if he was okay! "Jamie, its mom I hope you can hear this, please wake up. For my sake and for Olly's sake, he's awake but he's very weak. He needs you, his mom was telling me how much he's changed since he met you, his grades have gone up and he's been in less fights! You've made him a better person, come on baby I know you can't still fight. Your my little trooper, we've been on our own your whole life me you and Raven. But we've always stayed close and strong. Come on Jamie." I felt her squeeze my hand. I wish I could hug my mother, I felt a tear come down my cheek. At least I knew Olly was okay and he wasn't dead, I don't know what I'd do if he had died. My own life wouldn't be worth living because the one person who can put a smile on my face everyday wouldn't be there anymore. Someone opened the door and spoke to my mother, "Ms Hainwood, Jamie's condition has improved over the last five hours, we will expect her to wake up in a few hours. Her injuries were not as bad as they should've been for an accident like that. She has a broken leg, a fractured arm and 2 fractured ribs. I know it may not seem like it but that was very lucky, it could've been much worse." "Oh God, thank you doctor"

Hours passed, I lay here knowing I'm awake inside but I just can't. My mom has gone home she told the doctor she would be back first thing tomorrow, I was glad she went she needed the rest. I should've been awake by now, I guess I'm just not ready. But I will eventually wake up because I can't loose Olly or my mom. I just know that if anything happens to me Olly will go back to his bad ways, I can't let that happen. Suddenly I hear the door open, someone walks over to my bed and sits in the chair where my mother sat. Whoever this person is they take my hand and squeeze it, instantly I know who it is. It was Olly. My eyes shoot open and I turn to see him, he was what I needed to get out of the coma. "Baby" he whispers weakly, he looked exhausted and in pain. A tear falls out of my eye and he wipes it away, "Don't cry, I'm here" "Olly" I reach up to him and touch his face. He looks broken and so do I. "Baby, you woke up. I've been so worried. I love you so much and I don't know what I would've done if you didn't wake up." He leans down to me, in the dark room and kisses me so passionately, more than ever before. It feels like I have been fixed completely because I know he is mine and he is okay. He pulls away and I smile, "You still manage to look hot even being as weak as you are." He laughs slightly wincing at the pain. "I need to tell the doctor you're awake" He walks out of the room with bare feet and a hospital robe on. I'm so lucky to have Olly, I honestly probably couldn't live without him.
