"Dr. Green speaking," Sean said as he pushed his plate away and picked up his ringing phone. "What? Yes, I am. What?" He asked standing immediately, knocking his chair over. "I'm on my way."
"What's going on Doc?" Silas asked as he held out his car keys stopping Sean from looking for them.
"Pookie passed out at court and my name was on her emergency contact list," he said rushing from the living room where his shoes were. "I'll let you know when I know."
"Get her a room set up Gabe," Axel said sternly. "She needs to be taking it easy. Momma and Jess are too busy to be with her all the time and we can be. She may not like it at first but if it's for the best she will eventually understand."
"Got it," Gabe said grabbing his keys. "I'll get a nursery set up here as well."
"I'll go with you to help," Victor said standing.
"I'll stay here and clean up," Luke said as he started picking up plates.
"We'll all help out," Owen said standing. "Let us know Sean."
"I will," he said nodding then rushed out the door.
Nicole opened her eyes and groaned at the brightness of the room. "Hey Nikki," Jess said shutting her magazine and sat beside her. "How are you feeling?"
"What happened?" she asked confused.
"You passed at in the middle of court," Jessica explained softly.
"Oh no," She groaned softly. "Are the—"
"The babies are okay," Sean spoke gently as he came into the room. "How are you feeling?"
"Tired," She admitted, "Headache, muscles hurt."
"That would be because you are dehydrated," he nodded. "You haven't been drinking enough water."
"Sorry," She whispered. "I'm trying."
"I know," He smiled softly. "But right now I think it would be best if you stayed off your feet for a few days and stay with us so I can monitor you better. I don't want you passing out again. You got lucky this time and didn't hurt yourself but what if you were at your house and hit your head or your stomach?" She whimpered at the thought. "Will you please come stay with us, Pookie? Just for a little bit?"
"I think it would be best right now, Nikki," Jessica nodded. "Just so Doc can make sure you are okay and don't over do it."
"Okay Doc," She nodded as she thought about what he said. It made a lot of sense and like he said, it was just for a few days until she was better.
"Thank you," he smiled softly. "Now would you like to see for yourself that they are okay?"
"Please," She smiled softly and he beamed.
"Of course," He chuckled, "Any chance to see them, I'll gladly take."
"You promise they are okay, Sean?" She asked concerned.
"I promise, Pookie," He smiled softly. "I have you hooked up to an IV to help with the hydration right now so soon you will start to feel better. They are healthy and doing good, listen," He put the wand over her stomach and turned up the sound so she could listen to their heartbeats. He moved the screen and pointed to where they were. "There they are, Pookie."
Tears slipped down her face as she held Jessica's hand and watched her babies on the screen. "Look at them, Nikki," Jessica smiled. "They are okay."
"Can I call the guys and let them know?" Sean asked. "Please?"
"Okay," She nodded and went back to looking at the babies.
"Hey Doc, how is she?" North asked immediately. "How are the babies?"
"Dehydrated but okay," Sean said as he turned his camera to the screen. "The babies are okay. Everyone is doing good. She just needs to stay here for a little bit longer to get some more fluids but then she will be okay to leave."
"Will she come home?" Luke asked.
"Yes Lucian," She sighed exhausted, "I will be staying with you for a few days so Doc can make sure I'm getting enough water and doing okay. I have to stay off my feet for a bit apparently."
"Yay, Cupcake bonding time," He chuckled making her giggle and roll her eyes.
"I'll set up her room downstairs," Gabe said as he tossed something into a cart.
"What are you doing Gabriel?" She asked suspiciously.
"Getting your room set up of course," He asked like it was obvious.
"I don't need new things Gabe," She rolled her eyes. "You can just take my bedding from my house and it will be fine. It's only for a few days, I'm not moving in with you permanently."
"Eh," he shrugged. "It's just easier to get stuff for our place then take stuff back and forth. I'm already out of the aisle and not turning around so it's done. Oh look, body pillows."
"What's wrong with him?" She asked Sean. "He's not cussing. Something's wrong with Gabe, Sean."
