"What are you doing still up, Nikki?" Owen asked as he walked into the house late that night and saw that she was at his desk typing away. He forced back a smirk when he realized that she had her headphones on and didn't realize that he was home. He carefully walked over to her so that he didn't startle her and once he was just a few steps away his presence alerted her.
"Owen," She gasped as she removed one of her ear buds.
"What are you doing still up, Nikki?" he repeated. "It's midnight, you should be sleeping."
"It is?" She asked confused. "Oh, I guess I lost track of time," she mumbled. "I was just getting some work done."
"Couldn't sleep?" he asked as he sat his briefcase down next to the desk.
"Yeah," She admitted as she rubbed her eyes. "Give me a minute and I'll move my stuff."
"Don't worry about it," he shook his head. "Come on, you need to get some sleep."
"Few more minutes," she mumbled as she went back to typing.
"You have until I get changed then you need to step away," he said sternly. "You are supposed to be resting and that means getting plenty of sleep."
"I can't get comfortable," she shook her head. "I'm fine."
"Have you tried that new pillow Gabriel bought you?" he asked curiously, and she looked at him confused. "Save your work, I'll show you."
"What's going on?" Sean asked as he came into the house. "What are you doing awake, Pookie?"
"Couldn't sleep," she mumbled as she rubbed her eyes. "So was doing some work. Where were you?"
"I was talking to my agent about a recent offer for a new movie," Owen admitted.
"I was at the hospital," Sean said as he took his white coat off.
"Oh," she said rubbing her neck. "So, you will be leaving soon for the new movie?"
"No," Owen shook his head.
"What?" She asked looking up at him shocked. "Why not?"
"You need us more right now," he said honestly.
"I'm fine," She glared. "I can take care of the babies just fine on my own."
"Yes, you can," Owen nodded, "but we want to be here for you, and we have been working back to back for years now. It is actually nice to just take a break for a bit."
"Don't stop acting just because I got knocked up by an asshole," she grumbled as she started typing again. "I'm fine."
"Hey," Owen said as he turned his chair and crouched down to her eye level. She refused to look at him so he smirked that millimeter smirk as he gently gripped her chin so she had to look at him. "We aren't taking a break just because of you. We have been talking about taking a break for a while now. It just happened at the same time, that's all. We know you are an independent woman and you can handle being a single mother. You will be a wonderful mother, we just want to be home for a bit and be there for you and the babies, that's all."
"Well, they will need their uncles in their lives," she mumbled. "You can't show them how to be man whores though."
"Yes Ma'am," Owen nodded. She thought she saw hurt flash in Sean's eyes but when she blinked it wasn't there so she wasn't sure since she was tired. "Now, come on let's get you to bed and we will get you that pillow so we can see if it will help you."
"Okay," She yawned and rubbed her eyes again. "I can finish this later."
She saved her work then stood. They followed her to her room and Sean headed to her closet then came back with a large body pillow. "Here you go Pookie," he said softly as Owen pulled the blanket back and she got into bed. "Lay on your side and try this." She shifted until she got as comfortable as she could then Sean helped her put the pillow between her legs then she hugged it. "How does that feel?"
"So much better," She mumbled.
"Good," they both said at the same time.
"Try and get some sleep," Owen said as he covered her up after Sean put some pillows behind her.
They closed the door behind them and headed to Owen's room, "We are going to need more body pillows," Sean mumbled as he started to undress.
"I'm sure Gabriel is already on it," Owen said as he removed his tie.
"Don't want to be just uncles," Sean pouted and Owen shook his head.
"I know but we have to tread carefully," he said as he started to unbutton his shirt. "We did hurt her after all. We lost her trust so we have to earn it back. Just be grateful that she is letting us do this for now, she could after all refuse any help and think of how it would be then."
"Don't want to," Sean grumbled as he changed then got into bed.
"Neither do I," Owen shook his head. "So for now we just have to take what we are given and then try to go from there."
Sean huffed as Owen finished changing then got into bed, "Fine but I still don't like it."
