GROWING UP MY dads always tried to work on my insecurity. They wanted me to grow in a secure and confident woman and I must say that they did an amazing job at it.

During my childhood I was bigger than my peers but my parents made sure that I knew my worth and that my weight has nothing to do who I am as a person and that I should be proud of the way I look. It took a while before it sinked in but I'm glad.

I made sure that my opinion of myself was the most important one but most of the time it wasn't easy at all. But I had a support team behind me.

Seeing Lily Kim brought all the insecurities that I'd had been burying every single day and it only took an attractive woman who is the fiancée of the man I like to ruin it? No I couldn't let that happen. I always prided myself as a woman who didn't let a man's opinion influence the way I see myself.

But the man in question being someone you like, that you're falling in love with? Yeah that suck as fuck. And I can't even be angry at Lily since I'm the one who's in the wrong.

Zoya removed the phone away from me. "You're both very beautiful in your own ways." She softly says, I try to show a smile but it likely looks like a grimace. "Yeah, yeah..."

"I need ice cream." I mutter. "Just sit here, ice cream is coming right up." It took some seconds before Zoya came back carrying two cones of ice cream. I looked over at her and pulled her in my embrace. She put her arms around my waist.

"Thank you for being here with me." I whisper.

"Nellie, you're my best friend there's literally no place I'd rather be than next to you." My heart squeezes at her words, while we're not best friends who have known each other since birth our bond is the same as one.

I wouldn't have anyone else than her to be by my side.

Even with my last relationship she was here with me, but the difference is that my ex didn't hurt me as much as Vincenzo hurts me.

"Tell me about how you're singing career is going." It's been a while since we sat to just talk about our lives and it could help to remove my mind from a lot of things.

"It's going well, I've been practicing. And it's nice to check up with Loraine, she has been so nice. I only hope that here fans will be nice when I preform."

"They better be otherwise they'll have to deal with me." She lets out a chuckle while caressing me. "And what could you possible do to them?"

"Don't underestimate me, I've been taking some defence classes that Vince—," my voice trailed off. Zoya notices it and tightens her hold over me.
