WE STAYED OVER at her dads for some days before we went back home. These couple of days I've been feeling light since Nellie is back at my side. I never want to experience that ever again, I don't want there to be a distance between us.

Before we left her dads dragged me and threatened me not to hurt their babygirl, they don't give second chances. I won't underestimate them, both of them served in the military. And they have friends and connections while I have that too, but they're the parents of my girl I won't harm them.

Younger me would have wished to have a bond like that with my father but older me knows better.

Nellie's fingers caressing my arm brought me out of my thoughts, "what kind of person is Lily?" She's not totally over the whole fiancée situation especially with the way she found out. She always grimaces when she hears Lily's name or the word fiancée but she has been trying and that's what important to me.

"You guys will get along, bellissima." She groans, "that's not a clear answer, Vince." I chuckle, "we're almost home, you can talk with her then." She glares at me, "you're useless."

"You won't be saying that when I'm inside you tonight." Her eyes widen. It's been too long, Lily better not hover her time but she'll probably do that. Her and Zhenya, her best friend, made a deal about when I'll get into a serious relationship so this is a perfect moment for her to interrogate Nellie.

"We have arrived." The driver announced.

"You're back home, Nellie." I say with a small smile. A little meow was heard, I glance at Lolo in her cat bag. I had missed the cat with her big green eyes and shiny black fur.

"You're also back home, Lolo." She meows, Nellie chuckles. I grab Nellie's bag as she grabs the cat bag. We both went inside the house. We'll need to bring some of her stuff back to her appartement but now I just want her close to me.

Zoya will come back tomorrow so that can be an opportunity to bring Nellie's stuff and then come back to the house.

She opens the cat bag and lets Lolo free, Lolo has familiarised herself with the house so she can find her own way. Lily'll probably be shocked if she sees a cat, it's not like she hates cat it's just something she thought that I'd never have in my home.

But Lolo is precious to Nellie so Lolo is precious to me. And Lolo and I have gotten closer to each other so I don't mind her. She doesn't really bother us unless it's time to eat.

"My dads like you." Nellie announces. "Why wouldn't they like me." I flash a smirk, she rolls her eyes at me. "Just be glad that you have a natural charm 'cause if they didn't like you it wouldn't end well for you." She teases.

Due to their military background, I wouldn't underestimate them but they should also not underestimate me. But I won't harm them, they're Nellie's parents. And we're cool with each other.

"I see that's it's cosy here." Lily's light voice said.

I glance to see her, leaning on the wall with her ombré orange hair fawning over her. I grab Nellie's hand.

"I even saw a cat." She looks at me with a curiosity. "It belongs to my girlfriend." I haven't asked yet, I glance at Nellie to see her reaction. Her eyes widen before she schools her expression.

She glances at Nellie, "you must be the girlfriend." She comes closer to us and raise her hand. Nellie takes her hand.

"Yes, I'm Nellie Rose." She introduced herself. Lily smiles in response, "I'm Lily Kim, one of the closest friends of this idiot." She points to me, Nellie chuckles at the comment.

"He is an idiot." Nellie confirms, I can't believe my siren is saying that, "I'm so glad that you know. You should be prepared especially if you're in a relationship with him."

"You know that I'm right here, so I'm hearing all of the shit that you're saying."

"And we're supposed to care?" Lily says before she links her arms with Nellie. They go into the living room. I let out a relief, I'm glad that they're getting along. I was certain that they'd get along but I still had my doubts. Glad that those doubts are gone.

I grab Nellie's suitcase and drag it to our room. Now that Nellie is close to me again, I can focus back on the company and ruin my father. A part of me doesn't want to ruin him but if I don't do something he'll keep on doing shit. And I don't want it to harm my relationship with Nellie.

Luca had one of his contacts cleaned everything regarding the issue so it's off the internet but you can't clean peoples mind.

Due to me being intimidating no one will say shit but if they dare to say anything to Nellie, they'll deeply regret it. I'll ask her if she's comfortable with me making a statement about the issue to clear up her name but first I'll need to ask Nellie to officially be my girlfriend.

The laughing of Lily and Nellie forms a smile on my face.

I should see how the company is faring before I go downstairs, I call my PA after a couple of rings he calls.

"Sir." He sounds breathless. "Oliver is everything alright."

"I—,"

"Don't hesitate to say anything." I frown, I hope he hasn't been overwhelmed. I'd ignored the others numbers excluding his.

"The board wants to know when you'll be back and they have been saying things..." he trails off.

"Things like what." I could guess what they have been saying. "They may want to change your position and your father may want to appoint a new chairman." The chairman is my position and I won't let my father say otherwise. I'm the CEO right now and my father would appoint me as the chairman when he steps down but with my behaviour lately he wants to change that.

I let out a chuckle, if he does this I'll rain war upon him. The company is mine, I'll be damned if he gives it to someone else.

"I'll deal with it. Is there anything else?"

"The appointments that you rescheduled are piling up." I pinch my nose. "I'll be in the office tomorrow, tell it to the board members too." After I become the chairman, they'll be changes in the company.

Oliver adds a couple more things before the call ends, a whole hour has gone by. A soft knock is heard. "Come in." Nellie stands at the door, I beckon her to come closer.

"Is everything alright?" She caress my head. "There's just a lot of things I need to deal with but as long as I have you with me, I can do it." She grabs me in her embrace. We stay in this hold as she keeps on caressing me. I can stay in this position forever.

"I'll be next to you, Vincenzo."
