I'VE BEEN TALKING WITH the board members of the company to officially overthrow my father. The last couple of days have been hectic. Nellie has been focusing on finding a new job but I'm not worried about that, she's a powerhouse that anyone would love to have. I've been busy with the company and talking to Lily's parents to see how they could help.
They love their Princess so they did everything she asked and they like me otherwise they wouldn't have agreed with my fathers proposal for the marriage. When they accepted the marriage Lily accepted at first since she saw that their family could also bekijkt from the agreement but she just couldn't see herself settling down with me it was the same for me,
The only difference is that her parents had no problem with it but my father was a whole other story. My mother didn't even know about it till it was announced but since she knows my father so well she told me if I don't want to marry I shouldn't force it. Those thoughts have certainly changed since I met someone.
With everything that has been going on it has been a lot but it's needed.
I've called Valentina and my mother to let them know what's going to happen. Both of them have a soft spot for my father but they know that his actions can't keep on going, there's always consequences to whatever you do.
I wasn't looking forward to the confrontation with my dad, the last time that I saw him was at the auction and that was also the last time I had contact with him. I should have known that he was planning.
Everything was going in favour of me so the only thing that needs to go well is the meeting with my dad. With the board members and Lily's parents on my side I wasn't too worried at the end I know the company is mine but I won't underestimate him, I hope he doesn't have anything on his sleeve.
"I've finished what you asked me to do, sir." Oliver said as he came inside my office. I should make him take a vacation soon, he has been working a lot. I've been asking him to look at certain projects and to set everything ready for the date with Nellie tomorrow.
"Thank you, Oliver," a smile forms on his face at the gratitude. It's something I should say more often.
"The data on the projects is in this file and the whole outline of the date is in this file." He showed them both to me before I dismissed him.
I had some plans for me and Nellie's date but due to being busy I couldn't go and finalise everything but my name holds power in the city so even though most of it was last minute they didn't say anything about it.
I laid the date file to the side and picked up the one contains information about the projects both new ones and old ones. I wanted to forget everything relating to my father, it isn't simple since his blood is running through the company.
A small part of me wondered if our relationship would ever be repaired.
