Izuku finds himself stranded in a corrupted land with nothing but gunslinging, untrustworthy hunters as the only living people. He must make learn to survive within the treacherous Louisiana Bayou, and take on all challenges, and all bounties availi...
The morning was bright. It was time for the new arrivals to have their first lesson on Bayou essentials. Today's lesson, Llorona's... was on firearms. The bread and butter of being a good hunter... and a good shot. They'd need to take this seriously if they didn't want to end up dead. So, taking charge, Llorona spoke up. "So, Just so I know where to begin with all of you... how much do you know about guns?"
Silence. Not even crickets chirped. The students were so... so quiet. At least the rabid dog from yesterday wasn't doing anything too obnoxious. Gotta count the little blessings. That's fine. Izuku didn't know anything either, but he was quick on the uptake.
Placing her hands on her hips, she looked down, thinking aloud, hoping this wouldn't be harder than it was to get Izuku to kill his first grunt, at least willingly kill one. "Nothing, huh? Do you at least know what they do?" The class echoed a single sentiment. One that relieved the bounty hunter. "Yes!" Well, that makes things a bit easier... Looking back up, she continued, "Good. But... from what I've heard, you've probably never held one in your life, have you?" Many looked down, while others shook their head. It was a dark topic, one they hoped to avoid, but it was, unfortunately, unavoidable. Sighing, Llorona knew she had her work cut out for her. "Well, that makes today all the more important. Most of your training will be around gunplay and getting the motions down. A lot of it is around muscle memory. So, I'll let you all take a look at them, hold them, and get used to the weight. Then, one at a time will I let you fire them. Until I know you can use them responsibly, I'm not letting any of them out of my sight, and I won't let you touch any ammunition for them. Got it?"
Voices clear, the majority of them clearly determined to do well under her impromteau tutelage. "YES MISS!" She nodded, approving of their attitude so far. At least they might be able to learn a thing or two. It'll be best to "Damn right. Let's get started."
Lucy had told Izuku that she wanted to spend the day with him. He was extremely flattered that she wanted to, considering he didn't see himself as anything special. But, he went along with her wishes. She brought him to the top of Haven's Hill, where there was only a few trees and the view over the majority of the Bayou. It was the only place in Haven where you could get away from the town and still be safe. It was also Lucy's favorite spot, as it allowed her to wonder... not about the dangers, but what life was like before the corruption. Very few knew of the world outside the bubble, but it always fascinated her.
Having prepared a picnic, the two of them ate looking over everywhere they knew. Izuku couldn't help but appreciate the beauty that chose to spend time with him. She had chosen her best dress for the occasion, it's blue and green accents matching her eyes, which were blue speckleded with emerald. Her auburn hair matched the patches of the cloth, especially the one that wrapped around her waist.
