It was bright. I could feel the sun reflecting off me. I could feel the lush grass brushing against me as the wind blew. The sounds of leaves and branches sloshing around whenever the air picked itself up.

Wanting to know where I was, I opened my eyes. Staring up to the bright blue sky that was accompanied with the occasional clouds. I sat up while rubbing out any tiredness from my eyes that could have lingered.

"Erm... Did I take a nap at some park?" I wondered.

Looking at my surroundings I figured out that I was in the middle of an open field filled with flowers. Surrounding the open area were tall trees that caused large shadows. It was beautiful.

I had let my guard down due to the scenery, that I didn't realize that something had landed on my shoulder. Feeling the claws poking me, made me feel nervous that I unconsciously stood still.

Feeling a little bit brave. I turned my head and my eyes widened at the phoenix. Its beady white eyes and its bright feathers were engulfed in flames, and yet I wasn't burned at all.

I was in awe of its presence. I lifted my fingers to pet its feathers. But the phoenix quickly dodged my hand and pecked me instead. Shocked, I flinched away and I felt that the phoenix was giving me a disapproving stare.

I fixed myself up, feeling like I shouldn't embarrass myself anymore, and I got up on my two feet. I saw the phoenix flying away. I stare at its direction before following it, wondering where it'll lead me to.

It was easy to follow the phoenix as its feathers glowed at the surrounding shade the trees provided, like a candle in a barley lit room. During my walk, my brain had finally realized something.

"Wait, why am I in the middle of some forest when I should've been with MK and Mei?" I pondered to myself "They wouldn't have just thrown me in some random area, right? Nah, they wouldn't do that."

I felt a little bit worried but it went away when I realized.

"They are main characters in a kids show, it would be out of character for them to abandon me like that." I smirked as I gave myself a pat in the back at my smartness. Maybe it was a good thing that my brain was filled with non-fictional logic.

Looking ahead I didn't see the bright glow that emitted from the phoenix but instead I saw another opening to a bigger looking field. Once in the clearing, I felt the warmth of the sun hitting me once again.I looked around to try and spot the phoenix, but I found a tall statue instead.

The statue was looking down, maybe to its lap, its hands locked together above its chest, as its legs were closed together and leaned to one side. It looked so closed off, as if to look elegant enough to blend into the expensive walls of royalty.

I don't know why, but I slowly walked towards the statue. The closer I got the more details that my eyes picked up on. The statue had a soft smile. Its face, mostly covered by a long veil, made me feel protected. Looking down at me with comfort and content.

It wore some sort of wrap around dress, not too tight and not too loose. It covered all of the parts that needed to be covered, but still showed some skin. Shoulders, hands, feet and knees were exposed. The areas that were shown were bedazzled with jewels or markings.

Once I was close I felt the sudden urge to be closer with it, to become one with it, to curl up to its lap and never leave until my dying breath. Having no control over my body, I crawled on top of the statue's lap. One hand on top of its closed hands and the other reaching for its cheek.
