"Go home. Don't come back."

That bastard. As if Will was going to let him insult his dedication and commitment, spit at his feet and tell him he doesn't understand his own feelings. Even if he was still working himself out, he would not be told he didn't know what he was doing.

"Oi! Death boy, you get back here!" His legs moved on their own, sneakers pounding against the asphalt and sending jolts into his ankles. "Get-" he reached out and grabbed, barely missing Nico's arm. When he looked up, Nico's eyes were wide, mouth barely open, and he was breathing heavily. He pulled his arm up and started to walk faster, throwing nervous glances over his shoulder. "Nico!" Nico started to run, quickly skidding and turning a corner out of the parking lot. Will followed, cornering him in a dumpster alley. "What are you doing? Get out of here." The words were choked as they left Nico's mouth. Will fumed.

"Who-" he huffed, hands on his knees. "Who the hell- do you think you are?"

"Who do I- I'm not the one out of line here, Solace!" Nico fired back, raising his arms in a defensive stance.

"I've been looking for you for- for weeks! And the moment I find you you tell me I don't know what I'm doing? I-I could've been sleeping in my bed all this time, but no, I camped out in the car just in case I saw you!" Will took a few steps forward. "How dare you say I don't mean it! When has anyone else ever-"

Nico hit him. Will stumbled back, pain stinging up his jaw from the impact of Nico's knuckles. "What the hell, Nico?"

"You- you don't know what you're talking about!" Nico spat back, and Will swung his own arm out, striking him in the cheek. Nico retaliated, stuffing his tongue in his injured cheek and aiming lower, knocking Will to the ground. They wrestled, fighting for dominance next to the trash cans. Will's hair was in his eyes, and he could hardly make out what was going on, but by God if nothing else he was going to make Nico see how much he meant to him. Even if this was the only way to get the message across. He grabbed Nico's shoulders and twisted, flipping himself on top and pinning him down. "You are so stupid," he huffed, still glaring.

"I'm stupid? If I remember correctly, you're the one who could've been sleeping in your nice comfy bed," Nico grumbled, heaving air out with every breath. Will sat on his chest and leaned in close. "Shut up. You dumbass. I'm literally in love with you. I didn't know what to do because I've never felt this way ever before, let alone so soon after meeting someone, but I need you. You godforsaken idiot. I know how I feel." He threw Nico's arms down and deepened his glare. "Well?"

Nico squeezed his eyes shut. After a few long seconds, he spoke. "I think I'm misunderstanding this situation." He shoved Will off his lap and skipped backwards a few steps.

"No, you're not."

"What?" Nico paused, bending over and putting his hands on his knees. He took a breath. "What, what!? I mean, what?? What is wrong with you??!" He squinted, moving closer to Will and shoving a finger in his chest. "Are you sure?" Will rolled his eyes. "Yes, I'm sure, for god's sake, I am sure. And what do you mean, what's wrong with me-"

"I mean- I mean- who the hell falls in love with their freaking stalker?! That is what I mean!" He faltered, releasing a shaky breath and trembling on his feet. "I mean, crap, what am I supposed to do now?"

"Oh, woah-" Will rushed forward to grab him and they both fell to their knees, Nico breathing hard into Will's chest. The fight was long forgotten. "Oh, oh, hey, Neeks, look at me. What's wrong? What do you mean, what are you supposed to do now? What's going on?" He spoke gently, soft fingers trailing through Nico's hair and pushing the thick dark waves out of his eyes. Nico furrowed his brow and sniffed, not looking directly at Will. His voice was quiet when he answered. "I don't- I mean- you were right before- nobody's ever done anything like that for me-" He hiccuped. "Or really anything at all- I mean, I don't even have parents, how could you possibly love me-" -another hiccup- "-and, and, and even if you did, what am I supposed to do, leave school again? What if you change your mind? And then what, I'm alone again, I have to do this all over again? I cant- I don't-" A shaky breath. "-have anywhere to go, Will, I just started figuring things out here, and I can't even stay here forever-" His breathing sped up and Will grasped his hand tightly.
