Kisses.
Will was basically asking for one all day and Nico was very salty about it.
"Come sit." Will patted the seat next to him on the couch and curled up against the arm, his hair puffing up in curls and his lips curving up in an adorable smile. He was wearing an all too big sweater, the sleeves covering his hands so just his fingertips showed. Nico scowled at his cute, innocent display and took his own sweater off. He, on the other hand, was wearing tight grey jeans and a black t- shirt, a little too small for him so it clung to his chest. He reluctantly sat down away from the blonde boy, who rolled his eyes and scooter closer. "So, wait. Let me get this down- your name is Nico Di Angelo and you love reading. You're 19 and in college. Right?"
And hot as hell, Will added in his head. While he was dressed solely for comfort, the other boy was really pushing his limits when it came to how attractive you could be. He perched himself on the arm of the chair opposite Will and ran a hand through his messy hair. His shirt outlined his torso, and his pants were slightly ripped at the thighs and knees. Will may have only just met this guy but he could not deny the fact that he was incredibly good looking. "Right." Nico replied. "And you're Will Solace and you like playing guitar." The words rolled off his tongue so easily that Will pondered if he had known him before. But he knew he hadn't. "Yep!" Will confirmed. "No offense or anything, but you look way too friendly and innocent to be a bartender." Nico pointed out. Wills mind wandered at this, to all the fights he had stopped before and how he had ended up with the job in the first place. He chuckled. "Just you wait, I'm not all sunshine and rainbows." Nico shrugged, a small smile forming on his face. "I guess I'll just have to see for myself then."
"So that means you're coming back to the bar then?" Will asked a little too hopefully. No, he didn't want Nico to start up drinking again, but then it felt so weird without his familiar face e there- he had gotten used to it. Nico nodded. "Why'd you leave in the first place?" Again, Nico shrugged. He pursed his lips. "It doesn't matter. I just- I needed a break."
"I know I should promote my work first, but yeah, that much drinking can be a bit unhealthy, dude. I mean, I don't drink at all, and I work there, so." His eyes showed glimmers of concern for the younger boy. Nico looked up. "You don't?"
"No, sir. I do not."
"Wow. Talk about a strong will." Nico chuckled, and Will rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Di Angelo. That sucked." Nico flopped down on the seat of the couch, crunching up so his knees touched his chest. "Man, I do not want to go back to school." He groaned, thinking of the next day. "I mean, I live there year round, but nobody really cares about what I do or where I go anyway, so why bother?" His question, of course, wasn't serious. Nico wouldn't dream of skipping school- it just wasn't in him. Until someone put it in him. "What about your parents?" Nico tilted his head and looked at Will through half lidded, mentally exhausted eyes. "Don't have any." Will bit his lip. "Then why don't you skip? I mean, a few days couldn't hurt, right? And you do need breaks now and then, right? You live there year round, that must be tiring." Nico sat up straighter. "You think I could?"
"Would they notice?"
"Well..no..." He pondered the idea. "Okay. Okay, I will. But what will I do?"
"Just hang out with me. We can meet at the park until my shift. Then we just have to go inside."
"That's too hard- school's a while away from there, remember?" Will bit his lip again, harder this time. "Then stay with me here." Realizing how strange that sounded, he hurried to fix his sentence. "Uh- I mean, I know you barely know me and all, but if it's too much trouble to walk and I'd like to get to know you, and, um, it does get pretty quiet around here so I wouldn't mind the company- that is, if you want to." The words tumbled out of his mouth in a jumbled mess. The black haired boy leaned his chin on his knees, his eyes filled with amusement. "Okay." He stated simply.
Would any sane person turn that offer down? Nico pursed his lips to keep the wide smile off his face- he was staying with Will! Will, Will Solace, the boy he saw every day but who didn't see him until now, the boy who he fell in love with, that Will Solace. He buried his face in his sweater. "Oh! Um, cool." Will laughed sheepishly at Nico's cool response and a small blush tinted his cheeks as he rubbed the back of his neck. Yeah, it was cool.
