Ruffled Feathers

Chapter 2

Hello! I'm posting multiple chapters when I write because once I start I usually don't stop for a while, this one might be shorter but I don't know, I've had some problems with myself lately so I won't be writing as much (probably jinxing it) I hope you enjoy this one.

Links POV:

I walked down the hall with a smile on my face. I embarrassed Revali I even ruffled his feathers. I walked into my room and plopped down on my bed and rolled around. I got back up and ran out of my room to Miphas room. I knocked on her door, she opened it quickly.

"Link? I thought you were Zelda, come in." I walked in with a big grin on my face and grabbed my notebook to write everything down, I only knew a little sign so I couldn't sign all of it. I finally finished, and showed it to her. 'you won't believe what happened after you left the library I decided to get a book and sit in front of Revali to annoy him, and he started to make fun of me then I wrote something that also made fun of him, he got embarrassed plus his feathers ruffled, I'm so proud of myself!' Mipha smiled and then laughed.

"Good job Link! Out of so many years I have known you never thought you'd do that." I was smiling widely, and rolled my eyes. We heard a knock on the door, and Mipha raced to the door. It was Zelda.

"Zelda!" Zelda smiled widely as Mipha let her in.

"Come look what Link wrote!" Zelda looked at me confused but came to read it. She smiled while reading it then started to chuckle.

"Good job Link."

"Oh! Do any of you want anything to drink?" I shook my head.

"Sure, what do you have?" Mipha smiled at Zelda and went over to I think it was a mini fridge.

"I think I know what you'll like" She took something out and gave it to Zelda, she tried it and her eyes widened.

"This is good, thanks." Mipha smiled. I tapped on Zelda shoulder, and signed: I think I should go, I am tired' Zelda nodded and I walked back to my room and went to bed.

The the next day I had Impa but Revali was joining us so it wasn't gonna be very fun even though it already isn't. I got to the training Revali was luckily not there yet, Purah was though.

"Linky! Hello!" I waved at her, and she patted my should then ran over to Impa and hugged her tightly.

"ACK- Purah! Your killing me-"

"Your fine, anyways I was thinking about the Sheikah towers and the shrines we should get the rest of the runes just in case, so Link and Zelda can travel better with shrines."

"Actually that's not a bad idea." Purah let go of Impa and smiled at her.

"Ok later today I'll talk to Zelda about it."

"Wait why are you telling me this?"

"Because you my little baby sister and I love you." Impa rolled her eyes as Purah smiled at her and laughed. Purah skipped away.

"Their weird." I jumped, it was Revali I didn't even notice he got here. 'You scared me!' Revali looked at me confused.

"I don't read random hand signals."

"It's sign language idiot." Impa was looking at us annoyed.

"Oh I'm so sorry your majesty." The Bird smiled smugly then walked away with a stupid strut, it wasn't actually that bad it just looked sassy.

Revali's POV:

I started to take my bow out but Impa stopped me.

"What do you think your doing?" I looked at her confused.

"Taking my bow out to practice?" Impa rolled her eyes at me.

"We aren't doing Archery bird." Why do people keep calling me bird!?

"Than what are we doing?"

"Using swords" Impa handed me a sword then point to where Link was. I stared at him, he was attacking the dummy then flipping backwards and attacking it fastly, Hylia, he was good, my feathers ruffled and I started to smooth them, before I could finish Impa pulled me to where Link was, she had a sword as well.

"Alright, I know you have no idea how to do this so I'm gonna help you out." She held the sword up.

"I'm not a child, I don't need you to teach me." She rolled her eyes at me.

"Hold the sword like this." Her hands were in certain spots, Link stopped training to watch us, I felt nervous, was I trying to impress him? Nono I wasn't. I tried to copy what she was doing but Link rushed in and moved my feathers to where they were actually supposed to be then he went back to training, my feathers ruffled.

"Calm down bird man." I scoffed at her, and she kept teaching me.

She eventually let me practice on my own, and Link came in a couple of times. After a little while Zelda came to watch us, and Mipha came in as well to train.

"Alright you two start to train together while I help tiny Princess over here." Was everyone calling people names now? Link nodded firmly and led me to the other side of the area. He held his sword up, I don't know why but I got this nervous feeling in my stomach, but held my sword up as well. He hit my sword first and then it started. He swung his sword at me again, and I dogched it barely, then swung at him, he flipped backwards then attack my chest plate again. Hylia he was strong and fast. Purah came back, and ran over to Link.

"Linky! I need the Sheikah Slate I wanna get the rest of the runes." He nodded and gave it to her.

"Thank you!" She ran back out and Zelda followed her.

I decided to do one more fight. We went into position and I struck first this time, he did his flip dodge, then was about to attack me but I moved out of the way and he fell hard onto the ground. I walked over to him to give him a hand.

"That was pretty weak Knight." He took my hand and got up he went over to Impa to ask if we could leave early. She said yes and we walked back to the castle, and went our separate ways I went to my room undressed then fell asleep in my hammock.

HI I did have more before but it deleted so I had to re-write it. also I use ruffled as fluffed because I thought they were the same but they are a bit different but i've used it before so I just gave in and kept using it so I hope you enjoyed this chapter, I also didn't read this through so there might be some mistakes like with Sheikah.
