"My father left me when I was just a boy. I never saw his face again. My mother didn't handle his loss very well. She was pureblooded dwarf and proud. She instilled a sense of hate for your gender. Korbin was the one who freed me from her abuse. Korbin was amazing. He is always amazing." Quinn mumbled as he began to snore softly.

The old druid reached through the bars petting his head as he simply sighed. Such a young thing. So many horrible memories. So troubled. The king had been wise to bring the red head. This boy might have self-destructed on his own. She petted his head fondly thinking of her own son, squeaking when someone grabbed her wrist jerking her hand away from the sleeping young man.

"You do not get to touch him." Korbin hissed has he shoved her hand out of the cell.

"I needed to calm him down before he hurt himself. He isn't stable." She grumbled as Korbin crouched behind him, holding the sleeping boy through the bars.

"I know. He has never been stable. His thoughts are a bit skewed thanks to the years of abuse and absolutely no healthy social interactions." Korbin grumbled as he hugged him and the bars.

"Why did you bring me along?" Korbin asked as she rolled her eyes and settled back in.

"We brought you because the king asked us too. We brought you for him." She grunted as she played with the flowers on her dress.

"Thank you. I would have stopped at nothing to get him back." Korbin growled sincerely as he looked over Quinn. He wasn't as hurt as Korbin had been. Good. The old woman simply huffed like she didn't care.

"What should I call you?" Korbin asked softly as he settled in against the vines. Relaxing now that he knew Quinn was safe.

"Sherry. So, Korbin, I know the king is going to ask, but I can't wait for him. What exactly is your relationship? It is clear you are more than just Assassin partners." Sherry grumbled playing with her hair. Korbin smiled brightly as she turned away from him. He clearly was one of those who liked to sweet talk women. Well, she wasn't interested in.

"Honestly its complicated. He's like a little puppy that follows me around. Blind to my faults and deaf to my lies. He sees right through me and still doesn't judge me. He's always there when I need him most and even though he isn't the strongest guy in the valley, he'll fight like he is. For me." Korbin muttered as he played with Quinn's dark hair. Sherry narrowed her eyes as she looked the young man over.

"If I didn't know any better it would sound like you're in love with him." Sherry grumbled wondering if he was messing with her. They were in their twenties and good looking. No doubt the pair of them could have married any girl they wanted and started their families. Though after speaking with the darker one, it was clear he had no intentions of settling down for a girl. Korbin simply chuckled as he relaxed.

"That's for me to know and you to find out." Korbin told her softly as he glanced around their cell's. They sat in silence before the rooms shivered violently causing Quinn to awaken startled.

"What was that?" Korbin asked as the druid got to her feet glancing around.

"Korbin, you're awake! Are you feeling alright?" Quinn started, pausing when Korbin reached through the bars to cover Quinn's mouth.

"Sherry! What's going on?" Korbin growled ignoring Quinn. He didn't have time for Quinn to be distracted with him. If they were in danger, he needed to be alert and ready.

"The Mother tree is rejoicing. The king has come home." She replied excitedly. Quinn pulled away from Korbin grumpily. When were they on a first name basis? Korbin sighed at Quinn's pouting attitude, deciding to ignore it.
