You walked into the world meeting as any other normal day
You were the country of Puerto Rico, which means your adoptive brother is Spain. He raised you after you had been discovered. But was most unpleased when America proclaimed war and won you after Spain had lost. You were now a US colony. America helped build your economy but also was the problem in it. He borrowed money many times and would leave you bankrupt. The people were imigrating to America to find a better life style but you kept fighting to bring your island back to its original glory. You felt like you were loosing your title as "La isla del encanto" (the island of enchantment) but you did everything possible to keep you country as it used to be. It was a hard task because of all the industrialization that had happened, no one wanted to work in the land, just in those stupid factories. You missed being part of your brother and how he made your culture soo.... beautiful. America had changed everything to make it similar to his nation but you actually hated it but you never dared to speak up.
You walked into the conference room and sat next to Spain for a change. He looked at you and hugged you tightly
"Hermanita!!!! Como estas? (Little sis!!! How are you?)" He said with his usual bright smile

You just facepalmed
"It means hello in spanish, you uncultured swine" you said earning a loud laugh from England

The meeting ended with Germany screaming at Italy for no apparent reason (shocker) and you were the last person in the conference hall. You were finishing up some paper work and when you got up you felt two strong arms wrap around your waist. You looked at them and recognized that tan skin
