Being a waitress in the most popular bar in town wasn't easy, especially this time of year, Oktoberfest. The bar would be beautifully decorated with german inspires decorations and us waitresses would be dresses as delicate frauleins. The bar would receive different types of beers from Germany. This was like a huge party all week. I really enjoyed working during this time of year. Especially today.
I was walking around the bar, checking if every customer was ok, when a tall, muscular, blonde man walked in. He was wearing a suit which i guess meant that he worked at the building across the street. He wore a sour expression on his face as he sat on one of the tables. I approached him and gretted him with a warm smile like I do with everyone.
"Welcome, would you like anything to drink?" I said, my smile not leaving my face for a second. I looked at him and took in all his features. His cyan blue eyes, his slicked back, golden, hair, how his suit fit him in all the right places. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks.
He just stared at me with a cold expression.
"A beer please, any kind. I don't care" he said. Then I noticed his german accent.
I still stood there staring like a complete idiot, until he pulled me out of my trance.
"What are you staring at?" He said.
"Oh, nothing. You are just very handsome, I couldn't help myself" I said with a slight giggle.
I could see his eyes widen a bit and his cheeks being dusted with a rosy color. His mouth curvered into an almost unnoticeable smile.
"Thank you very much, miss. But can I please get my beer?" He said, with a nicer tone this time.
I left and before I could even ask the bartender what his order was, he already gave it to me.
"How did you-"
"Hes cute, go and keep talking to him. You need a boyfriend, if the boss ask i'll cover for you, now go" Francis, the bartender and my best friend, said with a smile.
I smiled back and took the handsome stranger his drink.
He smiled at me and I sat at the empty seat infront of him and we instantly broke the ice.We spoke for hours about different topics like our jobs, our families and even some personal things. He looked at his watch and noticed that it was pretty late.
"I have to go, have a very important meeting tomorrow morning" he said as he got up from his chair. He handed me the check and when I opened it, I saw the usual tip and a phone number which read 'call me, liebe' and if that wasn't enough to get my heart beating at a thousand miles per hour, he leaned down and pressed his lips on my cheek.
He left without saying a word. I held my hand up to my cheek as I heard Francis wolf whistling from across the bar.
The couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day.
