"Coming mother" you said as you ran down the halls of your palace.
Being the daughter of Egypt's greatest pharaoh wasnt easy. You were compared to her many times. Your beauty, intelligence, wisdom, were basically nothing compared to her. She was seen by the people as the reincarnation of the goddess Isis. She was wanted by all unlike you. You were very antisocial, you had no friends. Your only companion was a dark brown cat which you named Anubis. Cats were seen as gods to the people, but you saw them as just mere animals. You also had a pet snake named Nefertiti.
You arrive at the main hall, where your mother would meet with other pharaohs
"___________, dear, there is someone i want you to meet" she said as she motioned to someone next to her.
It was a young man about your age. Tan skin and piercing brown eyes were some of his features.
"He is Gupta, also known as Egypt" she said
You looked at her with a confused stare then laughed.
"Very funny, mother, we are in Egypt. There is no way he can actually be Egypt" I said.
"Egypt, show her" She said
He grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him. You stared into his eyes and at that moment you could see the history of your country, even the one that hasnt even happened yet. You pulled back and looked at him, shocked.
"You really are Egypt" You said and he just nodded.
"Never doubt your mother" Your mother said smugly, which made you glare at her. "Dear, I will be leaving to Rome soon to meet with your father and Rome"
"Dont tell me all the countries are people?"
"Yes" she said casually. "Please tell your brother that he in charge and to not mess anything up" She said as she walked away.
"CAESARION!!!" You called your brother.
"What is it __________?" He said.
"Mother said you shall be in charge while she is away in Rome and that you musnt mess anything up" you said crossing your arms on your chest.
"Whatever, just go with your boyfriend somewhere else and stop bugging me" he said as he looked Egypt. Your face turned a light shade of red.
"He is not my boyfriend you prick, as a matter of fact this is Egypt" you said.
"I freaking know you twit" he said as he walked away.
"Why that little-" you said and you felt someone touch your shoulder.
You looked back to see Egypt staring at you. His lips curved into an almost unnoticeable smile.
"Would you like to accompany me to the Nile river? it is always very calming" he said.
You blushed and just nodded. You walked outside and were greated by the warm rays of the sun. You walked for a bit and saw two things walking towards you... well one was... slithering?
When your eyes ajusted you saw it was your pets.
"Anubis! Nefertiti!" You said happily as you bent down to greet your pets.
Nefertiti wrapped her body around your arm and Anubis jumped into your arms. You scratched his neck and he purred back. Egypt just looked you in awe.
"You really have a way with animals, even those who are supposed to be gods" he said with a smirk.
"Well to me they are just normal animals, just like my mother"
"She is a normal animal?" he said with a chuckle
"No, silly! People see her as if she were Isis but she is normal woman not a goddess" you said as you kept patting Anubis' head.
"You really are a strange girl" he said
"I'll take that as a compliment" you said
And before you knew it you arrived at the Nile. It was mostly dry, it wasnt the beautiful oasis it used to be. It only had a tiny stream of water. You set Anubis down and he walked towards the stream and started drinking. Nefertiti slithered to the stream with her feline friend.
"Sometimes I wish my country could be like it used to" You said to no one in particular.
"Maybe it can be" Egypt said from beside you.
"When I rule, things will be different, maybe the gods will make the Nile's water flow once again" you said
"Maybe they will" he said. "But until then.."
He grabbed your arm and pulled you close to him. He stared deeply into your (e/c) orbs. He pressed his lips against yours in a rough kiss. He pulled away quickly and looked at you with a smirk.
"This should make the wait worth it" he said. "Well I must be on my way, Good bye, darling" he said as he grabbed your hand and kissed it.
You stood there so dumbfounded that you didnt notice Nefertiti wrapping herself around your leg.
"A country just kissed me..." you thought to yourself.
