Danganronpa R: Beyond Hope and The Shadow of Despair [DISCONTINUED]

*Redesign Update* Kanna Naegi (Mikoto Naegi)

Hey everyone! I know that I did cancel this project but I just felt like posting my redesigns of these characters here. I had already posted them on my Danganronpa Amino way back in December. This one specifically was on the 14th. I do think I finished it a few days earlier but posted it later but I'm not sure because I can't remember the specifics. Just consider this the repost. I'm not gonna put most of the original designs because you can already find them in the fanfiction in the previous chapters. Anyways, with that out of the way, here's the redesign:

Kanna Naegi (originally known as Mikoto Naegi) is the initial protagonist of this series. When redesigning her I wanted to keep her silhouette more or less the same. I actually liked how it turned out. I also wanted a lot of call backs to both Makoto and Kyoko in this design. I wanted her to look pretty normal while still showing her interest, which is why I gave her that flower hair band. She also has some similarities to Kaede because they have similar roles. She also has some similar traits to Sayori from DDLC. She's actually a go-getter, happy-go-lucky character on the surface but beneath it lies a sadder darker side. I mean, imagine all the expectations you'd get if you not only share the same talent as someone who is known as the Ultimate Hope as well being in his descendent.

Fun Fact(s): Her name is derived from the Kanna Flower which is known for having healing properties. In fact, that's the flower in her hair. (And also Kanna from YTTD)  Also her Grandmother's name is Sayaka Naegi (lol). This kinda ties to my head cannon that if Makoto and Kyoko ever had kids, they'd name them after the friends and family they lost in the Killing Game. Finally, like Kaede, she has a younger twin who is the Ultimate Astronaut who, if this fanfic got enough attention (maybe like 3000 reads) would've been in the sequel. Not really as a protag but definitely an important character. I actually listed her traits as Kaito/Sayaka which... Do with that what you will. I probably would've/will expand on that in the future.

Background Synopsis: As the descendent of the Ultimate Hope, Makoto Naegi, people always had high expectations of her. Especially since her entire family is/was an Ultimate is some form, for example her twin sister is the Ultimate Astronaut and her grandmother is the Ultimate Lead Singer. When she became the Ultimate Lucky Student, ironically, it put more pressure on her because it really made her seem much more like Makoto. She wants to live up to everyone's expectations in life but in reality, she just wants to be seen as her own person. That's why she picked up gardening as a hobby. Despite everything, she's willing to make sacrifices in life in order to make other people happy. She goes to Cherry Blossom Academy along side another Ultimate... Karen Togami. (Yes, I didn't change her name).

I would say more but, who knows. Maybe if I grow more confident, I may just reboot this fan fiction in the future or use these characters in another story. I don't want to give away too much on them as I want to show it in the story rather than tell it here.
