Originally known as Emika Junka, I redesigned Johanne with the thought of the Calculating Logical Analyst in mind. I wanted her to have some parallels to Junko for plot reasons. Her personality is basically that of a somewhat sane and more grounded Junko Enoshima. I guess it would be a little more accurate to actually compare her to Kyoko or a more Kyoko like character. She would've eventually become a support in Daily Life and an MC in Deadly Life. I wanted her to look like a business woman of sorts as well so I ended up with what I got. She would've become the more Logical Deadly Life protagonist.

Fun Fact(s): Similar to Nagito, her name is an anagram of Junko Enoshima Da or I am Junko Enoshima. She also has an older twin who's the "Ultimate Maid" (really, ultimate mixologist) and her name is an anagram of Mukuro Ikusaba Da. Her sister's name is Oak Bauk Sudarium. It's ridiculous I know. When she is broken down and turned into the new Junko Enoshima, she takes her sisters identity in almost a reversal of what Junko did to Mukuro (her sister is dead by this point in the other killing game). Of course this would've been revealed in the now canceled sequel. Her first name, Johannes, means "God is gracious". It has Hebrew origins and is often used as a boy's name. Her last name, Daimoku, is actually a Japanese chant (in Nichiren Buddhism) the words nam myoho renge kyo ('devotion to the Lotus Sutra') chanted to the Gohonzon. The main message of the Lotus Sutra is that all beings have the potential to become Buddhas. To grossly oversimplify, Buddhism believes in Dukkha (Life is painful and causes suffering), Anitya (Life is in constant flux), and Anatma (The self is always changing). Buddhists believe that the human life is one of suffering, and that meditation, spiritual and physical labor, and good behavior are the ways to achieve enlightenment, or nirvana. The five basic moral precepts, undertaken by them, are to refrain from taking life, stealing, acting unchastely, speaking falsely, and drinking intoxicants. She isn't Buddhist but, she does share a lot of Buddhist beliefs. Her sister's name Oak Bauk Sadarium means: Oak- tree from the genus Quercus (both boy's and girl's name) and is a symbol of solidity, strength, and longevity. Bauk- a Scottish word for a strip of a corn field but is also a mythical creature in Serbian mythology that hides in dark places holes, or abandoned houses, waiting to grab, carry away, and devour its victim; but it can be scared away by light and noise. Sadarium- a misspelling of Sudarium or a sweat cloth. The one that relates and connects the most to Johannes is the Sudarium of Oviedo OR the sweat cloth that was wrapped around Jesus Christ's head after he died. Her old name Emika Junka means "Charming" and "Obedient, Genuine, Pure" respectively.

Background Synopsis: I can't make it as long as the others. Her basic story is that the twins ran away together from their abusive home. At first, the older twin began working at a really sketchy and slummy maid cafe/bar to make ends meet but when Johannes discovered her strange talent of analysis, she began to help that Maid Cafe with the business aspect. Soon, it grew into an international franchise thanks to her help. She only wishes to live a calm and peaceful life with her sister. (Her relationship with her sister is nearly the opposite of Junko and Mukuro's in the fact that their relationship isn't actually toxic).
