OG Post Date: 12/17/21 Original named Burai Masa. I thought her design was pretty much okay. I wanted her to look both wise and approachable. The original was fine. All I did was give it a few touch ups.
Fun Fact(s): Her original Name actually meant Blind Justice. Her new name is actually the same name of the Titan Goddess of Justice Themis. In fact, her art was based off Themis's multiple depictions of holding a sword in one hand and a scale on the other. Of course, I replaced the sword with a walking stick. She actually walks around with a walking stick as well until she losses it and nearly drowns in chapter 4 because of the motive. When she find's it again, it is broken. Believe or not that actually has a pet lion who's basically her "guide dog." Her lion's name is Taiyo. (A future character will also have this name and honestly I have a... kinda funny kinda interesting interaction between her and that character). If you haven't figured it out... she's blind. Despite her initial disposition, she can be a bit of a jokester and is a little devious out of court like Snake from Zero Escape and serves as the perfect mediator in the courtroom as well pretty much any discussion. When compared to the most iconic Judge in Ace Attorney, she's more competent.
Background Synopsis: She's basically a child prodigy who graduated Law School as a 12 year old and thanks to her parents pulling the strings, she baca me a judge at the age of 14. She soon became renowned for her cool headed and fair nature (although somewhat cold and maybe even slightly cruel), she often delivers the correct verdict. She lives by the words "Justice is blind." One day, a wealthy politician tried to buy their innocence but Themis delivered the rightful verdict without fail. Unfortunately, this did not come without a price, the politician from beyond prison ordered a hit man to end her life slowly and painfully. That assassin first took her eyes before he attempted to torture her. Luckily he was stopped by the Ultimate Vigilante and her life is saved. Instead of letting this tragedy keep her down, she used it to empower herself. The Ultimate Vigilante was caught and arrested later, she WAS supposed to be the Judge for his case but she back down due to her realizing she is too personally tied to the case. She was going to at least she how the trail went down but she ended up in the killing game. She hopes that the Vigilante is fine but she's a little conflicted. On one hand, that vigilante takes action and is very much a heroic person but on the other hand, what they are doing is illegal. Secretly, she is conflicted with herself. What if she had that trial? What if she never needed saving and had to serve him completely blind to who he was? What would she do? Were they innocent or guilty?
