That night of her first day at work, Keila went out with her best friend to celebrate and she enjoyed every second with her social best friend.

It had been quite a while they had hanged out and doing it again was like a fresh start. She loved their girls time.

They gisted a lot and nearly got drunk because they wanted to try alcohol, Lexy had insisted on something different to celebrate the night.

They had gone in Lexy's car so she drove Keila home first, when they were done for the night.

  "Drive carefully Lex".

"I will, have a good night rest babe".

"Thanks you too, gimme a beep when you get home okay?".

"Sure mama, bye", Lexy said and sped away.

Keila got inside her gate and wanted to use the drug that Lexy had got on their way, in case she got headache, when her phone beeped.

Oh well, it couldn't be Lexy since she just left. She took out her phone and saw Hayden's name on the screen. She had no feelings like frustration, anger or shock but she just picked the call.

"Hi", she said first and searched her keys to open her front door.

  "Keila".

  "Hayden".

She opened her door, dumped her bag on the floor, walked lazily to her room and then she jumped on her bed lazily.

  "How have you been?".

"Yeahhh fine", she slurred a bit.

  "What's wrong with you?".

  "I'm perfectly okay guyyyyy".

  "You don't sound like it".

  "I'm just tired".

   "Are you just getting home?".

  "Yeah".

"Kei it's late, where were you?".

  "Went out with Lexy".

Hayden hid his surprise that she was replying him as if nothing was wrong between them.

"Oh, trust you had a nice evening then".

  "Obviously", she grinned.

"You should sleep early since you would be going to work around 6am tomorrow"

"I no longer work at the bank".

  "Uhh since when, why?".

"We can probably talk about that later. I have headache and I'm dizzy right now".

  "Hangover, babe did you drink?".

"Don't call me babe and yes I did".

"Keila, you don't drink so don't start trying what you're not used to, it's not good and something worse could happen next time".

"Something worse?, nahh I'm careful, thanks. Lexy and I just wanted to try something else", she smiled at herself.

"Promise me you won't drink again..."

"Heyyo, for all I know, we are no longer together, I owe you no promise and you have no business with my life anymore. Thanks for caring, I gotta go".

"Fine I'm sorry, use something before you go to bed okay?".

  "Yap, bye" .

  She fell asleep almost immediately.

The next morning, Keila woke up startled, she hadn't heard her alarm ring. She had set it to 5:30am since her schedule for work just got changed but the sun rays were disturbing her and still her alarm hadn't gone.

She picked her phone and checked the time, it was six minutes past seven, she was expected to get to work by 7:30am.

"What the fuck?", she jumped out of bed.

She hadn't even prepared the dress she was going to put on, on her first serious day at work. She didn't want to create a wrong impression on her staffs before they thought she was being that way since she was the head, it would give them the nerves to get late to work also.

She brushed her teeth hurriedly and rushed her bath, then did a messy hair keep and rushed on a jumpsuit, it was 7:48am she when she finished. She took a pack of Pringles and her favorite juice and rushed into her car. She was relieved to see that she got to work minutes after eight even though she was very late.

She noticed almost all the staffs she could recognize were on seat already and some were walking briskly up and down delivering goods from one section to another. Her father would still need to give her more heads on what to do but he had told her the manager would put her through for the main time.

She walked to her office and was very surprised to see the staffs she met on her way stand up to acknowledge her presence, although she masked the expression and regarded them politely.

"Good morning Miss Keila", someone by her office door greeted.

She recognized her as her father's secretary and she would be hers also. At the last meeting, she had pleaded to be called Miss Keila and not her father's name.

"Oh good morning, Anthony, come on in".

They both walked in after Keila opened the door.

"Is there anyhow I can help you settle in?", Anthony asked

"First, is the Manager on seat?".

  "Yes ma'am".

  "I need to see him".

"Okay, I will put a call through to him", she answered and walked hurriedly out.
