******How three good months went by, Keila couldn't explain. It had been hard to socialize. She kept realizing she didn't really love Miles, she had just wanted him so badly, but it hadn't worked out well.
She had gotten over him but not the pains she went through, they had not talked since he got transferred but they had met again, and she had tried to avoid him. He still said "hi"
with a smile as if nothing happened. She thought of apologizing but she felt she needed to keep her pride, she was wrong after all, but wouldn't succumb to another embarrassing moment of saying she was sorry.
She had asked Lexy about Hayden, and she had said she wasn't aware if Hayden had moved on. They just talked occasionally and that had been to show care for one another and to know how well he was still coping over there.
"I don't want to intrude in his personal affairs, lest he becomes uncomfortable", Lexy told her when they went to the beach once.
Keila felt as if life had lost its meaning to her since stuffs began to happen. She had avoided her dad and mom as hard as she could but had gone to visit weeks earlier. She always claimed to be busy. They never bothered her when she went visiting but each time it was Alex and herself alone, he reminded her what he wanted.
She never thought she was going to ever need to unblock Hayden, but now she did with trembling hands, she missed him. She didn't know if she was missing him because she needed him, but she was sure her love for him was beginning to resurface.
And now that she thought about it, she didn't see the reason she had to meet out such wicked treatments to him. He was too good to her and she hadn't even used some chill pills.
She was hopeful, but very sad. Would she expect him not to have moved on after fucked up months?. That was selfish to think but she was going to try.
Taking in breaths after breaths to calm herself down, since she was tensed. She dialed his number.

"Come here", Hayden said to Rowena, and he laughed at her.
"What?", she whined with a smirk plastered on her face since Hayden had started to make nest of her.
"You love my dish so much you got 'em on your face", he cocked his brows playfully.
"That's not possible and besides I'm a better cook", she answered and rubbed her hand carefully over her face to see if he meant it.
"See, I caught ya", he laughed heartily again.
She was forced to laugh too, and threw part of her salad on him.
"Don't mess my room dummy".
"Whatever, I don't get to clean it up".
"You should leave", he changed his countenance.
"That doesn't get me", she chuckled and planted a kiss on his cheek.
Hayden was about to kiss her when his phone vibrated beside them. He held back and winked at her, she was pained, playfully, but started eating again.
She couldn't help but notice her boyfriend's mood, the way it switched immediately and he dropped his phone back.
"Come on baby, eat up", he said trying to bring his new self back to normal.
"What's wrong?, pick your call", she urged him.
"It's not necessary, I'm having a nice time with you and I don't want it ruined".
"Hey, I don't mind".
"Nah, I don't feel like receiving the call".
The call ended and came in again.
"It's ringing asshole", Rowena pointed out to him as if he didn't know.
"Give me a while", he said as if forced to pick the call, and walked out.
Why was Keila calling him?, he was more than shocked. He hesitated before he hit receive and waited for her to talk.
"Good evening Hayden", she said and he was quick to notice something was wrong with her. The way she talked was different, he wasn't expecting her to be all bubbling with him, but something sounded off.
He had been with her for about years not to be able to detect her slightest change. But now, it was none of his business. He would try not to show concern.
"Hi".
"It's been a while", she said and he heard her give a quick laugh that he didn't find amusing a bit.
"Yeah".
"How have you been?".
"I feel you should expect I have been fine".
"Uhh sure. Just wanted to ugh..check up on you".
"Wow, really. Shocking news there Keila, but thanks anyways. Gotta go now", he said and banged the call.
"Check up on me?, someone must have spoken into her head", he laughed and went in to meet Rowena.
"I'm sorry", he said to her and pecked her lips, she blushed and wanted to ask about his phone call but dismissed it.
"It's fine. Your dinner is getting cold", she said.

She didn't know she was crying, she did that so much lately but she had been hurt the way Hayden had talked. She was not expecting him to be friendly, but that had hit her hard.
He didn't want to talk to her, she was sure but determined to try later. Something good could come out of it if she tried, she assured herself and got back to her work but that was a futile effort.
******
Want to check up on him, durrrrr. Nice excuse to make your attempts.
