When Keila's wedding came around, Lexy was months pregnant but it wasn't really obvious. So she still took her place as the maid of honor, like Keila always insisted.

It was just a wedding reception both families wanted to host amongst business partners and close friends. It was a high class wedding and strictly by invitation. They didn't want crowds. It wasn't like both families couldn't afford it but they wanted to respect the intended couple's desire, after being forced to get together.

"You really can't turn back now Kei", Lexy smiled as she pressed her bestfriend's shoulder comfortingly.

They were in the dressing room in the hall since her make up was done. She looked like she had seconds thoughts and Lexy didn't want it.

"But what if I don't want this marriage?", she joked.

"We talked this before now", Lexy answered with same enthusiasm.

"Yeah I know, but this feels like a lifetime thingy".

"It really is. If it weren't for your father, I never would push you ahead. He is your father after all, without him, you would not have met me. He obviously wants the best for you but that wasn't the best way to go about it. You're just lucky Hamilton is good enough for you".

"He is good but this still feels unreal. And Lex......", Keila trailed off her eyes going wide.

"What?", Lexy asked brows scrunched in fear of what Keila has to say.

  "Hamilton...".

"What about him?, you're getting me nervous".

  "He...huhhh....".

"Do you have a problem with him?".

"Yeah I do", she said her gaze falling slightly on her phone.

"What is it?, does he scare you?, is he violent?, does he have a wife or something?, common what?".

"He is waiting in the hall,we have to go", Keila laughed loudly.

Lexy heaved a sigh of relief as she hit Keila playfully on the back. She had been scared especially when she asked if he was violent. That was very hard to control in marriages. She wouldn't wish her bestfriend going through that, but even thinking about it, there was hardly any thing she could do to stop this marriage and she instead wished her friend not go through it.

Anyways, some guys were never violent till they get married to you and show what true color they had. She just prayed Keila was fine. Right now she was a bit relaxed into the marriage.

"I forgot to add that you look really beautiful, go give Hamilton a show girl", Lexy hyped as they both laughed and walked out of the room into the hall.

"Time to get over you Hayden, I'm married now", Keila said to herself as she smiled into the day.

*******

That night, Hamilton and Keila had a flight boarded to go to Hawaii. After two comfortable hours on air, they arrived the airport. They didn't have to wait so long before their reserved car had come to get them to the hotel they were lodged for the night.

Hamilton owned a business house in Hawaii but it was far from the airport and as much as he would have loved them to go there, it was late. He couldn't stress his bride anymore than necessary, his little bride who had been initially forced on him.

She has slept through the plane ride, putting her head on his shoulder while he kept awake and thought about how his life had taken a new change. The pressure of grandchildren was there and he was aware he had just added a new burden to his schedule. Not like he regretted it or thought Keila was a burden, but he knew he had responsibilities now for her.

"Thank you", Keila said once they  arrived their hotel room, and were awkwardly staring at each other.

  "What for?", he asked confused.

"For everything, for anything, I really don't know", she answered and put one hand on his jaw and kissed him briefly on the lips, then she sat down on the king sized bed trying to avoid eye contact with him.

They had kissed twice before they got married, it had been odd with her not fully interested and with no objection but Keila loved it. It was Hamilton who had kissed her but right now she just felt the need to do what she did, he was her husband now and she didn't regret it. She did like him anyways.

She watched him smile and she smiled too, he then kissed her again but they were both tired to do anything that exceeded that and slept even without dinner, let's say the excitement of the day went way more than having dinner.
