TW: homophobia at the end

“Mommy? Daddy?” Pip waddled into Eliza and Alexander’s room. “Yes Pip?”, Eliza bent down to his height.
“I broke a picture… of you and daddy..” Eliza smiled. “It’s okay. We have a frame in the closet-“
“No, I broke the picture…” he looked at his mother guiltily.

Eliza took a deep breath. "That's ok. We can go take new pictures… can you show me where it's broken?" She asked and let Pip lead her into the livingroom, showing her the picture and frame that was split in half. It was the picture that was taken of Eliza and Alex on the red carpet. The day they got engaged.

“It’s alright”, Alexander stepped in. “There’s many photos on the internet, or we can just glue it back together.” Pip hugged Eliza’s leg. “Up!” She smiled and picked him up. “Alex, do you wanna take family photos today?”, she asked.

Alex nodded. "You get the kids ready and I'll pack up the car with Angie's stuff then match whatever you're wearing." He smiled and kissed her cheek. Eliza nodded and went to Pips room. "What do you want to wear?"

“Froggy!”, Pip said. Eliza smiled, as Angie wiggled in her arms. She picked out green overalls with a frog on it, and a frog bucket hat, with jeans. “Does Angie have froggy stuff too?” Eliza nodded. “Mhm! She has a frog jumper and a frog beanie! We can even pack her frog pacifier!” Eliza was going to wear a white dress with green flowers, which had a frog on it. “Let’s go show daddy!”, she said.

Pip raced to his dad's room and showed him his frog outfit. "You look great, Pip!" Alexander said, trying to hide a laugh. Eliza glared at him. "You have a light green shirt and Jeans. Wear that." She said and hugged Angie.

“Alright.” He changed into his clothes, and kissed Eliza’s cheek, before getting into the car.
“Hamilton?” Alexander blushed. “You used my last name?”, he whispered. “Mhm. Elizabeth Hamilton. I love the sound of that”, she said before getting up.
A male photographer was in the room. He looked a little younger than Eliza. He had wavy brunette hair and blue eyes. He looked a bit more fit than Alexander was. “Pictures!” Pip ran into the room. It was clear the photographer didn’t know who they were. “Wow, your wife is beautiful”, he breathed.

"She is." Alex smiled although he wanted to rip the Photographers throat out. He held Angie in his arms while Eliza held Pip in her lap. The photographer was about to take the picture when Angie started crying loudly.

“Oh! It’s okay! It’s just a little bright light, it’s okay, baby!” The photographer tried to soothe her. “Please don’t talk to my kid”, he muttered. Eliza looked at him sharply. “Alexander! He’s just being friendly!”

"He doesn't need to talk to our kids. All he has to do is take the photo! How would you like it if photographers from magazines tried to talk to our kids while we're out!?" He shouted. The photographer looked the other way, unsure of what to do.

“I’m sorry about him”, she wasn’t afraid to apologize to the photographer in front of Alexander. She didn’t want to yell in front of the kids. The photographer shrugged, “it’s fine.” He then smiled warmly at Eliza. “One…two…three…smile!” He held up an octopus plushie for the kids.

Alex faked a smile. So did Eliza. The kids giggled at the octopus when the picture was taken. As soon as it was over, Alex gave Angie to Eliza and stormed out to the car, waiting in the drivers seat for them.
"I'm so sorry about him…" Eliza said and paid for the photos. The photographer handed her an envelope with a USB drive and a printed version of the photos.

Eliza masked her anger in the car, not wanting to look at Alex as he drove the car. Alexander sighed. “I’m sorry-“
“Do you know how embarrassing that was?!”, she snapped, still staring out the window. “God, Alex. You’re so immature sometimes!”
