Peter Pettigrew & Remus Lupin x Reader

The sweltering heat of summer bore down like an oppressive wave upon Hogwarts and its inhabitants. Although the school was located in Scotland, it didn't mean that it didn't get hot in the midst of summer. That, combined with most British kids' weak sensitivity to warmth, made for an unpleasant sensation.
Exams now completed, everyone was finally free to relax before the end of term for the next few weeks. Sitting with my friends since first year, the Marauders and I did our best to cool off. A lot of people considered it strange that I was friends with such a bunch. In truth, I wondered about it a lot too.
James Potter and Sirius Black were far from the quiet and studious sort. Initially, they only kept me around because I was willing to share my study notes with them and teach them the things they hadn't bothered to learn in class because they were dithering around. Once they realised I had my unique merits, such as my uncanny nature to know when a teacher was about to turn the corner, they fought against my nerves to keep me around like a real friend.
As for Remus Lupin, he was the more recluse of the group. While James and Sirius went around tormenting students, he was the one who would get them to stop if it went too far, except when it came to Snape. Often a time, we'd rent out the same book from the library to read together.
Like the others, I knew of Remus's secret. I tried to become an Animagus with them but Sirius had spooked me near the end of the mouth and the Mandrake leaf fell out of my mouth. There was never a suitable time to go through the process again and it would've been difficult to do on my own.
The last Marauder, Peter Pettigrew, was who I was closest with. He idolised James and Sirius to a fault and did everything he could to live through them. In the hierarchy of things, he wasn't on the same level as the others and he was well aware of it. Now in our seventh year, he had started to back down on his fascination with the two. The concerning aspect was that he had been hanging out with us less and less.
Yes, he was lesser to James and Sirius, but he was still treated as their friend and brother. To me... he was more than a friend. I liked how he was when the others weren't around. He was a bit of a coward but I appreciated his loyalty. Peter would never turn his back on us, that was something I was certain of.
A funny little-known thing was that he was surprisingly good at puzzles. My parents had gifted me a large book of riddles as a gift for finishing my exams. In seconds, Peter was able to figure out the solution and hold it against me until I got the answer. Today was one of the few days where Peter decided to spend time with the group.
"Please tell me the answer, Peter! This one is impossible and you know I won't move to the next until I know!" I pouted.
"How hard did you think about it?" he asked and Sirius gave an immature chuckle, much to Peter's annoyance.
"Course you'd laugh at that, Sirius." Remus remarked as he continued to read his book.
"What can I say? When there's so many girls going around with their skirts that high..." He trailed off his words and gave a small whistle at a fellow Gryffindor seventh year who was walking past.
I pulled my skirt down my legs subconsciously even if I knew Sirius had no interest in me. "You're hopeless." I judged.
Sirius shrugged uncaringly. "It's not as fun now James is trying to be loyal to Lily."
James perked up at hearing Lily's name. "Where?" he said with full attention.
"Told you." Sirius suddenly jumped to his feet and acted rather suave to save face. "Speaking of Lily, I see Mary over there. Don't miss me too much." Sirius started striding his way over without looking back.
