Paige
I was working a double shift today. My current one at the restaurant and another one at the diner tonight.
Somebody's gotta pay the bills.
I sighed before going to my next table. I tried to not look tired so I plastered a broad smile on my face.
I looked down at the five men sitting at the table and my smile dropped. Their aura shouted danger so I took a tiny step back. I noticed that two of them looked identical.
They're twins.
"What will it be for you lovely gentlemen?" I asked kindly and professionally just like my job required me to be.
I locked eyes with one of the twins, he smirked my way and I hate to admit it but my heart skipped a beat. He went back to staring at his phone. I noticed two buttons on his shirt was undone leaving his tattooed skin on full display. Out of all of them I feared him the most.
"Bring us a bottle of your best bourbon." The other twin said slowly. He seems more approachable than his brother. I carefully looked him over. He was wearing a black suit like the rest of them as if they just came from attending a funeral, two of them were wearing dark shades.
He looked up at me and his eyes stayed fixated on my face. I briefly smiled before nodding and heading off.
Those are not the kind of men you'd want to upset. I hurried with their bourbon and had one of my work buddies from the bar, Jeremy take it to them.
They probably attended the same man's funeral that they killed.
I washed the greasy dishes in the kitchen when I heard Kendal calling me. I frowned when she called me again so I dried my hands on my apron before going to her at the front.
"What?" I asked curiously.
"Two men at table twelve are asking for you." She said and I frowned.
"I'm busy." I said knowing who was asking for me.
"Go to their table now, if you want to stay alive." Kendal said in frustration. I smiled nervously before walking around the counter and towards them.
"Paige is it?" The approachable one asked curiously and I just nodded. "Where did you disappear to earlier?" He asked curiously.
"I was really busy." I said and the scary one smirked while looking at me again.
"Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?" He asked while staring deeply into my eyes.
"Not in a while." I said with a small smile on my face. Did I just flirt with him? "Thank you." I said softly.
"When does your shift end? Maybe we could take you out." He said confidently. We? What does he mean we?
"I would love to but I have another shift down at the diner." I said in an apologetic tone.
"Take a hint Rio." Hottie number one said with a smile on his face and I frowned at him.
He's acting as if I'm lying, when I'm not.He suddenly went back to glaring at me which scared me.
"I'm Dario." Hottie number two said in a thick voice.
"Luciano." Hottie number one said huskily before staring at me.
"We'll stay in touch." Dario said confidently so I nodded before walking away from them.
How strange?
And how are they going to stay in touch with me? I mean all they know is my name. They don't have any other information about me.
My shift ended at midnight and soon I was heading towards Zen's diner for my second shift ignoring the eyes I felt on my back.
