CHAPTER FORTY SIX

Paige

"An Eiffel tower?" Kendal asked and I nodded.

"Oh my god bitch! Too much detail." Kenny said angrily and I laughed at him.

"Well sorry, but did I tell you to listen?" I asked and he rolled his eyes at me.

"That sounds like all my dreams come true." Kendal said and I laughed at her. "I am so happy for you." She said before placing a kiss on my cheek.

"Now I just have to fix things between Viktor and I." I said and Kendal pursed her lips together.

"Or you could ignore the situation completely." She said so I shook my head.

"I know what I want now. And it's just to clear everything up. I owe him that much. Closure." I said and Kenny nodded in agreement.

"I agree. If you don't tell him now he's gonna find it harder to move on. You have the chance to kill baby Hitler." Kenny said and I nodded.

"Exactly. I'm gonna go ambush him now, wanna come?" I asked and they shook their heads.

"Well since you're not accomplices don't tell Luciano and Dario." I begged and they nodded. "Can you believe they called a truce? They're practically friends again." I said and Kenny laughed at me.

"It's the jealousy for me." Kenny said and Kendal laughed.

"I mean- fine- whatever. I'm going to his house now but if I die, don't be surprised." I warned them.

"Die from what, humiliation?" Kenny asked so I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Shouldn't you be doing your homework, Kenneth?" I asked and he touched his heart.

"You wound me, woman." He said and we laughed together. I pulled my sneakers on before standing up and heading towards the door.

"Later." I said before blowing them a kiss.

I went downstairs and placed a kiss on my dad's cheek before going outside. I hopped onto my bike before disappearing down the street.

The wind blew through my hair so I smiled broadly. After a ten minute drive I stopped in front of Viktor's gate. I spotted Ivan with a gun in his hand so I waved at him.

A smile rested on his face before he came walking over to me.

"Miss King?" He asked in shock.

"Can you let me in? I have to talk to Viktor." I said and he nodded.

"Does he know you're here?" He asked so I shook my head.

"No. But don't tell him. This is the only way I can talk to him, he's been ignoring my calls." I said and Ivan nodded before opening the gate so I climbed off of my bike.

"Thanks." I said before hugging him. I walked up to the front door before brushing my hair over my shoulder. I knocked at the door before letting out a nervous breath.

The door opened and revealed Viktor. He was dressed in a navy blue suit paired with some black dress shoes. He frowned at me and I smiled at him.

"Hi." I said and he blankly looked at me.

"What are you doing here?" He asked so I pursed my lips together.

"I came to talk to you." I said before entering his house. He closed the door behind us before looking at me in silence.

"I'm sorry for uhm- hurting you or leading you on. I should never have let it gone that far." I said and he kept quiet. "Do you forgive me?" I asked carefully.

"Sure." He said softly.

"I mean I get it. I'd hate me too- wait." I jumped on him before hugging him tightly. "I'm forgiven?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"Sure." He said and I pinched his cheeks.

"Does that mean we can be friends?" I asked and he raised a single eyebrow at me.

"No." He said and I nodded.

"Got it." I said before nodding. I hugged him again before placing a kiss on his cheek then I left his house.

"See you around." I said and he nodded.

"You should watch your back, Paige. I'd hate for you to get hurt." He said slowly and I frowned lightly before smiling softly at him. I just nodded before I walked back to my bike.

I said goodbye to Ivan before riding back home. I can't believe he forgave me, it almost feels too easy. But it still feels good. I spread my arms while smiling broadly, I almost fell off of my bike in the process so I just laughed at myself.
