We went back inside from the balcony holding hands Power was still a crying and blabbering mess "when did you plan this how long does it take you" I was giggling as I try to find mom "for a couple of months now I've been planning to do this I just didn't know the right day mom suggested progress day I just had to find the right time" I lifted her hand up and kiss the ring "let's go find mom she would like to hear about this" I saw mom's friend Elora still on the balcony where mom was "hey Elora Do you know where mom is"
"yes she took Jayce to the next room over" I think her and we went to the next room and there was mom talking with Jayce "hey mom can we talk to you for a minute in private" Jayce and mom both turn there attention to us "of course sweetie Jayce do you mind giving us some space" he looked at me and Power "of course I'll talk to you later then" he gave us a bow than exit the room

"so what did you two want to tell" I was about to tell mom before Power shouted "we're engaged" I let go of Power's hand and put my hand on her waist pulling her closer "congratulations sweetie I didn't know you were going to do it at the party" I saw mom had tears in her eyes as she came over to hug us "well it was the best time I could think of" mom took both of her hands and looked at the rings "you're beautiful how did you propose" I rub the back of my neck as Power answered for me "we were talking about how long we've been together and (y/n) says she wouldn't change a thing well except me being her girlfriend why not her fiancé"
"I did get on knee after that though and asked her properly" mom started to laugh "how did I know that's the way you were going to do it" we all started to laugh

"anyways Jayce well be giving the speech tonight so you too can spend the rest of the day how you want" I kept Power's hand in mine "I think we should go tell Caitlyn" Power gave me a nod as we went to the door "will see you later mom" me and Power went back to our room and got changed back into our normal outfits she took her hair down and I put it into two braids after we were done getting changed we left to go find Caitlyn

"how do you think she'll take the news" I thought for a moment "I think she'll like it she asked me earlier today how everything's been going and I told her everything's been going smooth so she will be surprised" we went to look by her mothers tent but she wasn't there "Miss (y/n) Miss Power what are you two doing here" I recognize that voice to be one one of the enforcers that bodyguards me and Power "mr. Eric we was just looking for Caitlyn do you have any idea where she could be" he thought for a moment and then remember something "there was some trouble by the harbor she's curious so check there"

"thank you Eric" he gave us a bow as we left for the harbor "what do you think happened" I shrug my shoulders "no idea love" we got halfway to the harbor when we saw Caitlyn "there you are we were looking for" we stopped in front of her "hey you two why were you guys looking for" Power and I smiled at each other "we got some news for you why don't we go get something to eat and we can tell you" we all went to a café that was close by

"so what do you two want to tell me" I took a sip of my drink "me and Power are engaged" I closed one of my eyes as a smile appeared on my face as Caitlyn started to choke "you're gonna have to repeat that" Power gave Caitlyn her hand so she could see the ring "me and
(y/n) are  getting married" I gave her my head as will so she could see both of the rings  "I can't believe this you tell me earlier today that things were going smoothly I didn't think that you were going to propose" I took another sip of my drink "well yes I know we're both young but I can't see a life without Power by my side" I intertwine mine and Power's fingers "well congratulations you two"

We sat there talking for a little longer catching up on things "well we're gonna have to go we have to go see Jayce's speech" I paid our server "don't worry the checks on me" after I was done paying me and Power said our goodbyes to Caitlyn it was around sunset "I guess we spent the rest of the day talking" we made it to the hall and found our seats beside mom and Elora we were just in time we took out seats as Jayce was just coming on states everyone started to clap and applause him
