Me and Powder were sitting in the lab she was working on some new weapons as I was designing a new lock one that is stronger than the one we had on before it was late at night but nonetheless we had pulled a couple alternators before so we are use to stay up late I was in the middle of my design when powder turn down the radio "hey can I ask a question" I immediately stopped my designing and gave her my full attention "I don't mean to be rude especially not you but it's just you telling me about your father I have a question about it if he is alive would you leave with him forever" I was surprised but knew that this might've been a possibility I took both of her hands in mind and started to rub circles "If my father somehow is alive out there I would love to get to know him and everything like that but I would never leave you I love you way too much to do that that doesn't mean I will leave piltover either what I'm saying is I would love to spend time with my dad but if I have to choose between him and you I will choose you it will hurt a lot but I love you way too much to ever leave you" she looked satisfied with my answer but I could tell that there was something else bothering her "but what if" I took off both of our gas masks making sure there was no dangerous chemicals in the air which there shouldn't be since we haven't used dangerous chemicals in a while

I cut her off by giving her quick kiss on the lips "like I said I'm never leaving you could never I could never leave mom either I love her too much but I would like to get to know my father more the best way I can explain it is I will spend a couple of weeks here then I'll spend a couple weeks with him maybe if he is alive or we could work something else out but I am never leaving you" I gave her another quick kiss as an idea came to my mind "stand up for a minute" she was confused but nonetheless she stood up I still had both of her hands in mine I put our hands on my shoulders and put my arms around her waist pulling her closer

"B-babe what are you doing" I had a deviant smile on my face as I got her to sit on my lap "proving a point" I leaned in close kissing her not giving her a moment to react I had my hands on her hips as she wrapped her arms around my neck once we finally broke away for some air I saw that she was bright red "like I said there's nothing that could ever take me away from you not for anything I love you way too much to ever leave you trust me when I say that I already did it but if I didn't do it on progress then I will do it right here and now I would get on one knees and propose to you but I already did that I already asked you to be my wife and now all we are waiting for is for us to set a date time and place to get married and I can't wait for that day" I was about to kiss her again before I heard a knock on the door we both quickly put our gas masks back on and stood up she got back in her own seat as I went to the door

once I open the door I saw that it was Victor he didn't have his mask on "hey Victor come on in we haven't used any dangerous gas in here for a wild so there shouldn't be any in the air" I stepped aside as he came in the room it was really rare for him to come in but he did sometimes I helped him over to the desk and let him take my seat "i'm sorry to interrupt kid I would've just used my key but it wouldn't work plus I need your help" I stood by powder leaning on the chair "oh yeah we had a change the lock anyways what is it" he looked around a bit nervous "all right then why do we go to the back room then it's obvious something you need to tell me and only me" he gave me a quick nod as I helped him out of the seat I noticed that he was wearing a glove on one of his hands "I'll be back in one minute love" she gave me a simple nod as she got back to work once me and Victor got in the room I took off my mask

"so what seem to beat the trouble" I pulled out two chairs one for him and one for me once we both sat down I could tell that he was even more nervous "promise that you won't judge" I gave him a simple nod letting him continue "you see when you and powder left I found out that my illness was getting worse I was going to die soon we created something called the hexcore I thought maybe it could help me survive that was mine and Jayce had planned for it to help it was a big discovery I went to one of my friends down in the undercity and he gave me something called shimmer" I stood up immediately knocking my chair down "what I'm sorry to interrupt you Vick but shimmer is dangerous what exactly did you do" he looked away for me as he took off his glove his hair was black with purple on it

I grabbed his hand and look at it closely "Victor" he wasn't looking at me "I found out that the hexcore reacted with my blood and I know that shimmer can make your body stronger so I use the shimmer with the hexcore it did wonders but it's too dangerous I can't destroy it" I let his hand go and help him stand up but I didn't let him take his cane "I know you did something else with it try to walk" I let him go and he stood completely fine he then start to take a few steps "I knew it you used it on your leg didn't you" he looked away for me ashamed of what he has done

I grabbed his hand and looked at it "you know I'm not mad at you Victor I understand why you did it not completely but I know you want to live I want you to live so I understand that this was one way that you could live I just wish that it didn't come to this I wish we could've found a better way" he wiped my tears away from my face as I looked at him "I know it was dumb of me to do this but it was the only thing I could think of what should we do now though" I walked over to grab his cane I gave it to him as he put back on his glove "right now I need to clear my head and think of a reasonable plan but we should talk to your friend we can leave tomorrow but right now I need to clear my head that's just a lot going on right now i'll be back tomorrow morning we can head out then"
