♫ A naoidhean bhig, cluinn mo ghuth
Mise ri d' thaobh, Ó mhaighdean bhàn ♫

A young Blair sat on the floor of a small room, playing with her little dollies. Her mother, sitting in a rocking chair as she knitted, softly hummed 'Noble Maiden Fair' to fill the silence.

♫ Ar rìbhinn òg, fàs a's faic
Do thìr, dìleas fhéin ♫

In the castle of DunBroch, Elinor sang the same tune as she and Merdius sat in the tapestry room. The Queen was knitting a tapestry, sitting in a chair next to the fireplace.

8 year old Merdius was playing with a toy house on the floor, listening to his mothers soft voice.

♫ A ghrian a's a ghealach, stiùir sinn
Gu uair ar cliù 's ar glòir ♫

Blair's mother glanced at the window, noticing it was dark and raining heavily. Loud thunder roared from outside, startling little Blair. She quickly stumbled to her feet before tossing her small body into her mothers lap.

"Sweet Blair, do not worry. Momma is here to protect you." The older women smiled, gently running her fingers through the girls hair. She continued to hum, trying to soothe the little shaking figure.

♫ Naoidhean bhig, ar rìbhinn òg
Mhaighdean uasal bhàn ♫

Merdius was frightened by that same thunder, shaking in his mothers arms. "My brave wee lad." Elinor said softly, comforting her son. "I'm always going to be right here." She kissed atop his head as she continued to sing, Merdius glancing up at her and began singing with her.

Merdius let out a yawn as he opened his eyes. He blinked a few times, letting his eyes adjust to the light that was sneaking into the cave. He glanced down, cheeks blushing as he noticed Blair was still cuddled up next to him. Head atop his chest and his arms wrapped around her. A small smile spread across his lips as he couldn't help but watch her sleep.

Blair groaned softly as she slowly started to wake up. She fluttered her eyes open before glancing up at the young prince. Her cheeks flushed red as she noticed he was staring at her sleeping. "Uh-" she chuckled. "Morning."

"Morning beautiful." Merdius eyes widened, not meaning for that to slip out. He chuckled nervously as he helped her sit up. "D-Did you sleep well?" He asked, trying to quickly change the subject.

The young girl nodded her head. A small thud caught their attention, both teenagers glancing towards Elinor who was setting up wood like a dining table.

"What's this?" Blair asked with a small smile. Elinor gestured for the two to sit at the 'table'. Which they both did, Merdius placing his bow on top.

The Queen growled at her son, trying to communicate. But Merdius shrugged. "Sorry, I don't speak bear." He sarcastically stated, a smirk appearing on his lips.

Elinor mimed for Merdius to remove his bow, reminding him there's no weapons at the table. Blair watched the two, amused.

"Oh." Merdius chuckled as he grabbed his bow and placed it in the ground next to him. "Right. No weapons at the table."
