"Mom!" Merdius called out to his mother, shaking his head at her childish behavior. He watched as she kept trying to catch the wisps but failing every time.

Blair stopped in her tracks, noticing a wisp above her head. "Uh-" she swallowed thickly as Elinor ran towards her. She stood on her legs and clapped her paws just above her head. But the wisp disappeared, Elinor frowning and groaning.

"Stop before you hurt someone!" Merdius ran over to Blair and gently grabbed her arm protectively. Elinor ignored his warning as she began chasing a flying wisp. It tricked her, causing her to smash into a tree. "Kings, crivens, help ma boab." He mumbled under his breath.

Blair grabbed the princes hand and dragged him towards the mama-bear who was laying on the ground. "Calm down my lady." She said softly, Elinors ears perking up to listen. "Listen" she motioned, trying to get the Queen to listen to the soft whispers. "The wisps will lead the way." She said softly. She turned and pointed to a trail of wisps. "Let's go." She gave the Queen a soft smile before the three followed the trail of wisps.

Not long after, the wisps led the three to an old abandoned castle. It was old and mostly torn down, veins spreading across the stone walls reaching to the top. The symbol of two crossed axes hung from the castle walls. "Why did they leave us here?" Merdius asked, confused as he took in the scenery.

Blair shrugged her shoulders, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. "I'm not sure. Maybe there's something inside that'll help us." She said as she chewed on her lower lip, a shiver running down her back from the cold wind. Something didn't seem right.

The three walked around the ruins, inspecting every inch cautiously. "Whoever used to live here has been gone for a long time." He stated before the floor beneath them gave him. Both him and Blair screamed as they fell through the floor, hitting the ground.

Elinor hurried to the edge and glanced down worried for the two. She called out in her bear voice. A look of relief flashed across her face as she heard Merdius call out to her. "We're fine, mom!" The young Prince stood up before helping the young girl to her feet.

Blair smiled at him before glancing around her surroundings. "Look- we're in a throne room." She said, noticing four thrones on the far side of the room.

Merdius glanced up at his mother, who watched from above. "Do you suppose this could have been the kingdom in that story you were telling me? The one with the princes?" He asked her. Elinor responded in bear, but the teenagers couldn't understand.

"It most likely is. Seeing how old and torn down this place is." Blair said as she continued to inspect the place. She walked towards a stone tapestry which contained a stone with three figures and a split stone with a fourth figure. "The oldest split, like the tapestry."

Blair reached out to touch the tapestry and instantly, a flash of images appeared before her. An image of Meridus splitting his families tapestry and another of a prince splitting his stone tapestry. The prince then changed into a bear as the echo of a scream sounded through the room.

"The spell-" Meridus quickly responded, had seeing the vision as well. "It's happened before." His eyes widened at the realization.

Blair glanced around the room once again and noticed claw marks on the stone walls and bones scattered on one side of the room. "Mer-" she said, but he ignored her.

"The strength of ten men." Meridus, remembering what the old witch told him. He glanced back at the stone tapestry. "Fate be changed." He then looked up at his mother and then at Blair. "Changed with fate." He put the pieces together, realizing that the one eyed bear was the old prince.

Blair glanced behind Meridus, eyes widened in fear. "Bear." She whispered, which Meridus frowned at the awful realization. The prince turned into a bear, just like his mother.

"The prince turned into a bear...." He mumbled before noticing the young girls expression. He quickly turned around and saw Mor'du, the big black bear that terrorized the land. Elinor growled, knowing she couldn't help them. She was stuck above, watching.

The Devil bear growled and went to attack Meridus who started aiming and shooting arrows at it, causing the bear to start chasing after him. The bear cornered Meridus between the wall, raising his claws to strike.

But Blair was quick to act, she grabbed a stone and threw it at the bear. It smacked the bear right in the head, which caused it to turn and growl at the young girl. Blair's eyes widened, those same eyes she saw when she was little. The bear who killed her parents. She remembered it well.

Meridus scooped a handful of dust into his hand before throwing it in the bears eyes. It blinded the beast, giving the pair a chance to escape. Meridus rushed to Blair and grabbed her hand, dragging her up the stairs to where his mother waited, holding her paw out to them. The prince picked Blair up by the waist and she quickly grabbed the queens paw. Once she was up to safety, Meridus tried jumping to reach his mothers paw.

"Come on Mer! Jump!" Blair shouted as Meridus jumped one last time, grabbing his mothers paw. Blair helped his mother pull him up. "Let's get out of here." She said before the three rushed away from the ruins and away from the Devil bear.

Both Blair and Meridus had hitched a ride on top of Elinor. She ran as fast as she could, fog surrounding them. Neither of the three could see where they were going. Merdius glanced around and noticed a stone pillar, quickly pulling Blair to him before impact.

Elinor ran straight into the pillar with a loud crack. The heavy impact making a small crack in the stone. The three groaned in pain, laying on the cold grass to catch their breaths.

Blair glanced around, frowning as she noticed they were,'once again, in the middle of the Ring of Stones. "Why do we keep coming back here?" She mumbled as Meridus helped her to her feet.

Meridus nodded, agreeing with her. "We need to head back to the castle." This caused the Queen to groan, knowing the king and the others were searching for her. "Mom, we need to get back! If we don't hurry, you'll be a bear forever. Just like Mor'du!" This caused Elinor eyes to widened, she didn't realize until now. "Mend the bond broken by pride." Meridus reacted what the witch had said.

Blair nodded as she grabbed the young boys hand. "The tapestry. We must fix it before sunrise."
