"Where are we goinnggg?" I whine, crossing my arms. I hate surprises.
"You'll see when we get there." Hayden smirks. He reaches over for my hand but I yank it away. He gives me a look and I try to not to grin. I'm not actually angry but it's fun to piss him off.
His hand rests on my thigh instead, brushing the skin on the inside of it. I regret wearing a skirt now. His hand creeps further up and I freeze, both anxious and seriously enjoying it. I warm up in places that I never knew could react so much. His fingers brush over the fabric of my underpants and I squeeze my eyes shut. Fuck that feels good.
My hand clamps around his wrist. "Hayden..."
"Was that too far?" He asks, returning his hand to my thigh.
He looks at me and I look at him. I bite my lip. "No... Yes. I don't know. I — I liked it."
He grins triumphantly and I want to slap him but I can't help smiling either. I thread my fingers through his and bring his hand to my lips. That was totally unexpected. I cross my legs and squirm uncomfortably. Now I just want more.
"We're here." Hayden announces, pulling me out of my daze.
I look out the window expectantly and find us at the harbour. I deflate a little bit, confused. We had been here plenty of times, so why had he made out like it was a massive surprise?
"Am I missing something?" I ask, looking over at Hayden. He chuckles, cutting the engine and climbing out of the car. I wait patiently as he walks around to my side, opening the door for me.
He holds out his hand. "It's not the harbour exactly. You'll see."
I roll my eyes, taking his hand. Hayden locks the car and I follow him out of the parking lot, past the surfing club and further down the docks to his boat. My stomach lurches.
"We're not going somewhere on your boat, are we?" I ask nervously, swallowing hard. The usual anxiety returns. I've been on his boar before and I was fine with going out a few meters, but I am not ready to actually sail somewhere.
"Seriously babe, just shut up." He says playfully but I yank my hand from his, stopping.
I cross my arms over my chest. "Do not talk to me like that."
He sighs and steps closer. "We're going on my boat but I swear we aren't sailing anywhere." Hayden says softly.
"Okay." I reply quietly, uncrossing my arms. He jerks his head, motioning for me to follow him and I do. He steps onto the boat first and holds out his hand for me. I wish I was confident to step on without it, but I'm not. Not yet.
"If we're not going anywhere," I say, wobbling as I step aboard, "then why are we here? I've seen your boat before."
"Not all of it." He says, stuffing his hands into his jean pockets.
I raise an eyebrow. He's pissing me off. I do not like being kept in the dark. I like control, I like routine, structure. Surprises make me anxious. Not that confident Mr Hazel Eyes gives a shit. He has no reason to be anxious.
He turns around and walks closer to the hull, bending down and pulling open a hatch I hadn't noticed before. I stand back and watch with arms wrapped around my stomach. The sun was starting to set on the horizon and the sky was full of beautiful oranges and pinks. A cool breeze takes the suns place. I wish I had brought a jacket.
Hayden looks over at me. "Come on."
I step closer and wait as he descends down a short ladder. I follow, turning around and slipping into the square hole. My feet hit the floor after a third footing on the ladder. Hayden flicks a light on as I turn around.
It's a cabin... Sort of. It's small but has enough room for us to stand. There's a double bed up against the back wall, a chest of drawers to the left and shelves lining the right wall.
"This is... This is actually really cool." I say, looking over at Hayden.
"My grandpa set it up for me," he shoves his hands in his pockets. "It's kinda sad how much I stay here." He laughs it off but his eyes say differently.
"I like it." I say, stepping in front of him and sliding my arms around his shoulders. He wraps his arms around me too, holding me tight.
He buries his face in the crook of my neck and mumbles against my skin. "I've never brought anyone here before."
I pull back and press my lips to his. He kisses back harder, cupping my face. My tongue slides against his and Hayden's hand switch to my ass. I smirk against his lips, pushing myself against him. We back up slowly until the back of my legs hit the bed and I fall back. I know where this is going. I can feel it. And I don't want it to stop.
Hayden leans over me. I love the pressure of his weight on me. He sucks my lower lip between his and I slide my hands under his shirt, pulling it up to his shoulders. He pulls back quickly, ripping it over his head and chucking it to the side. Mine followers suit straight after, landing in a pile on the floor along with his.
"Was this your evil scheme?" I grin. "Lure me in here and make sweet love to me?"
Hayden's head drops as he laughs. "I did intend on taking you out first, but that can wait."
