IM SO SORRY! I posted the completely wrong chapter before >.< I've deleted it now and fixed up the order but just forget about the whole Hayden's dad hitting him thing, that happens later....
Anyway, enjoy the actual chapter :3 xxx
______________________________________________________Oh shit, it’s Friday. So many reasons to be nervous. Holy moly. Okay, stop thinking about Sydney and everything else that’s happening tonight and just focus on your work. I look down at the maths sheet in front of me and feel like jumping out the classroom window; this is not going to work. School is just not happening for me today.
As a consequence for not concentrating in Maths class, I have to finish it during lunch. Victoria and I sit up in the stands again as the boys kick the football to each other down below. That’ll teach you, Hayden.
“What ever happened to this Sydney girl?” Victoria asks as though she read my mind. I had been trying to think of a way to bring it up with her but always stopped myself – it just seemed like such a ‘girly’ thing to want to do.
“Well, I’ve seen her quite a bit actually.” I admit.
“Really?” Victoria exclaims, sitting up straighter. “Details, please!”
“Like... like what?” I hesitate. Okay maybe I don’t quite want to share my intimate details, especially with someone like Victoria.
“Have you taken her out? Do you reckon she’s interested? Much kissing? Any blowjobs –,”
“Okay, I’mma stop you right there.” I say quickly. “No blowjobs, for your information. Just because... well, just no.”
She holds her hands up. “My bad. Not that type of girl, is she?”
“What do you mean that type of girl?” I snap. I run my hand through my hair, letting out a deep breath. “Fuck, I hate society,”
“Well you’re a part of it so quit complaining and get used to it.” Victoria says bitterly and I decide that’s enough conversation for one day. Why did I even want to bring this up?
We return back to our silence and I return to my maths sheet. Fucking algebraic fractions... When would I ever use this shit? I can tell Victoria desperately want to ask something, she keeps turning to me and taking a deep breath before turning away again.
I roll my eyes. “What is it?”
“No but seriously though, are you and Sydney for real?” She asks, her voice back to its normal pitch... which is still considerably high.
I nod. “Pretty for real.”
“I’m glad.” She smiles. “I’d love to meet her.”
I almost laugh at the thought. Sydney and Victoria in the same room... nuh-uh. But who knows, maybe it’s not a bad idea to introduce Syd to some of my mates; even though it will probably be the most embarrassing experience of my life.

School ends a few hours later and I text Sydney on my way home, letting her know that we’d be coming by at around seven to pick her up. She replied with a simple Ok. I wonder if she’s as nervous as I am. I wonder if she’s been thinking about it all day. Knowing the sort of anxiety-ridden person that she is, I’m pretty certain she has been.
I think back to last yesterday; sailing with her, having her over, my parents meeting her, and then me dancing with her. She’d surprised me a lot. She’d gone from trying to scare me off and trying to convince me not to like her, to letting her guard down completely. It was sort of exciting, actually.
