Okay wow, I'm sorry this took so long. Hope everyone is well :3
I'd like to dedicate this chapter to my friend Rebecca who now hates me. But you'll get what you want soon ;)

So it's Monday. I'm not grounded anymore. And I'm seeing Sydney which I'm so damn excited about. Yet also slightly hesitant. Tonight could seriously backfire.
Mum knocks on my door at seven. "Hayden, honey, it's time to get ready for school." She says softly.
She knows I'm still pissed at her. She knows that ratting me out to Dad was wrong. She knows because of that I now have an ugly yellow bruise on my cheekbone.
"Yeah, okay." I call back, rolling out of bed. I was quite happy in the warmth of the sheets, thinking about my girl.
I shower and get dressed before jogging downstairs to the kitchen. Mum and I don't talk as she makes me breakfast. She never used to have time, but ever since I became the only kid and she quit her job... well, now she has too much time. It's bad for her. She likes to dwell on things, over think. As most women do.
Mum drives me to school. Despite no longer being grounded, Dad has decided to impound my car from me for the rest of the week. Just to make it worse. We roll to a stop outside school.
"Have a good day, sweetie. Tell Sydney she's welcome over tonight if she likes." She leans over to kiss my cheek.
I pull away, opening the car door and climbing out. "We're going out tonight. I'll be home tomorrow morning."
I attempt to close the door but Mum stretches across and stops the door from closing. "Tomorrow morning? Are you staying at her place?"
I sigh, bending down so I can see her. "Possibly. I don't know yet."
"Will there be adult supervision?" She asks, her voice hard.
I refrain from rolling my eyes. "Most likely not, Mum."
She presses her lips together into a thin line. "Hayden, you're almost 18 now so I hope you and Sydney are being careful —,"
"Mum, please." I cut her off, feeling extremely uncomfortable. "I don't need this lecture from you. I know what I'm doing." And with that, I close the door.

The end of school bell rings at the end of Physics. I don't even understand this shit... fucking radioisotopes and half-lives and all that. My brain hurts.
Jordan shoves me at my locker. "Hey, man. I've got a bone to pick with you."
"What?" I reply, shoving books and folders into my bag. If I want to meet Sydney in time, I'm gonna have to leave soon seeing as I have to talk. Or maybe I'll text her, see if she can pick me up... Yeah, I'll do that.
"Well, a few actually." He corrects. I glance at him, raising my eyebrows. "First, what the fuck happened to your face?"
I brush my hand over it subconsciously. "Dad and I had a disagreement."
"Shit." Jordan runs a hand through his thick hair. And as usual, his fingers get caught half way. Cons of having an fro.
"Next?" I ask.
"Why haven't I heard of this Sydney chick?" He says accusingly. My eyes shoot to his, about to ask how he knows about her when he answers that question for me. "Victoria told me."
I roll my eyes. Of course. "I don't know, man. I did plan on introducing guys eventually, but she's... she's different. It's taken me ages to get this far with her."
