Sorry for the long delay. This trial is being really, really, really, annoying. Struggling a lot with it. Had a lot of it planned out, then when I got around to writing, something stopped making sense, followed by another thing not making sense. Caused a chain reaction. 

But am pleased with this part so am FINALLY publishing it! Enjoy!

Monokuma: "I'll begin with a basic explanation of the class trial in case any of you idiots have forgotten it. In this trial, you will present your arguments for who murdered Gonta and Kiibo. At the end you'll vote for "whodunnit". Vote correctly, and the blackened will be punished. But get it wrong...and I'll punish everyone besides the blackened. They will get to graduate and leave this academy....and per the motive, they will get to pick someone else to graduate with them. Also, refusing to vote will result in your death. So, you'd better vote for someone at the end of the trial! Now, begin! [He cackles.]

[Miu sulks and hunches her shoulders, refusing to look at anyone. A stark contrast to her earlier bravado.]

Kaito: [He takes a deep breath] I think that the defining question of this trial is this: Who died first, Kiibo or Gonta?

Kokichi: [He snorts] That's *a* question, but not *the* question Momota-chan.

Kaito: [Impatiently] Then what is *the* question Kokichi?

Kokichi: There isn't one!

Tsumugi: W-what? I'm confused. I don't understand this case at all. Where do we even begin?

Kokichi: [He grins at her] We begin at the beginning. I hear that's a very good place to start.

Tsumugi: W-what do you mean?

Ryoma: [He glares softly at Kokichi] Ouma, quit confusing people.

Kokichi: I'm not.

Tsumugi: What about alibis? We know Gonta's time of death...If we can figure out people's movements around that time, shouldn't we be able to identify his killer?

Kaito: No- we wouldn't be able to- It's way too much to focus on. We need to focus on the evidence.

Kokichi: Momota-chan is right. [He sighs]. God! you guys are such babies! As usual, I'm the one who has to do all the work-

Maki: Why don't we start with Gonta? We did discover his body first.

Kaito: [Relieved expression] Good idea.

Maki: I just want to get on with it. Something has been bothering me about his death...

Himiko: [She frowns] Nyeh. The crime scene was *really* bizarre.

Tenko: I agree. Personally, I have no idea what happened.

Maki: If we work together, we should be able to figure it out.

[Maki is trying to kick this trial into gear and lead people to the truth. Kaito realises, grinning lopsidedly. I think I can help her.]

Korekiyo: Kukuku. Very well. This won't take long.

Ryoma: Let's just do our best.

[NONSTOP DEBATE-MAKE AN AGREEMENT]

Tsumugi: W-well, as I said, we know Gonta's time of death.

Ryoma: That's the only definitive piece of info we have.

Korekiyo: What about the puddle of water?

Kokichi: [He smirks] Don't get too far ahead Shinguuji-chan.

Korekiyo: ...you're right.

Kokichi: I'm always right.
