Too Late

Not a cloud in sight

Michelle's POV
Today is the day me and Zach will perform and I really hope to win! I may not want the pair of shoes but I still wanna have a medal if we win! Zach and I went out of class early because the teacher told us to get ready and wear our costume. I wore my costume and went out of the dressing room. I see Zach practicing his guitar looking nervously. I sat beside him and held his hand. "Dont be nervous! We can do this we should do our best. even if we loose, Atleast we tried" I said. He smiled. "Thanks Michelle" Zach replied. We waited until our name has been called out. We heared our name and we stood up. Zach looked at me, he looks like he was born ready. "We can try to win this, together" Zach said. "I know" I told him smiling and we both walked to the stage. I sat on the piano chair and Zach sat on a chair and ready his guitar. I looked at him and he looked at me and gave me the go signal. I started playing the piano. He strum his guitar bring the mix tune of our instruments together. I looked at the audience for a split second before looking back at my sheet. I couldnt see my friends due to the many audience and the quick glance i took. All this practice we did will finally be paying off in this moment. We finish playing our song and we stood up and went infront of the audience. We held eachother's hand and bowed. I looked around the audience trying to find my friends. I spotted them, Oscar is clapping with no expression, Silver is shouting and cheering on us while clapping. Lisa was doing a cute happy dance and cheering. The rest of the audience was cheering for us and clapping. It felt good to finally perform it. We went to the backstage as they call the next pair to play there instruments. "Good job" Zach said. "Good job too!" I replied, Zach smiled. We went to sat down at a chair.

The others finished there performances and they are about to annouce who won."Thankyou everyone from the Music Club for joining this small club competition, we will now announce our winners!" The annoucer said. "we have on third place is..." The announcer said as I squeezed Zach's hand and he squeezed my hand back. "Delilah and Clair!" The announcer spoke. Delilah and clair went up to stage and got there bronze medal and a t-shirt for each of them. "In second place we got... Zach and Michelle!" The announcer shouts. I dont know if should be happy or not that we only won 2nd place but then 2nd place is better than no place. Me and Zach went up the stage and was given a silver medal and a bracelet the is silver aswell. Then we went back to the backstage. "At first place we got.... James and Kyle" the announcer shouts and they got a gold medal and the shoes. We went to our seperate changing rooms and change into our normal attire. We went out and we see our friends waiting for us. "How is our second placer's doing?" Silver asked in a accent. "Great" Zach answered smiling. "Here Silver! Since your nickname is litterally Silver, you can keep the silver bracelet" I told silver handing her the bracelet. "Aww thankyou Michelle!" Silver said wearing the bracelet. "Congrats" Oscar said smiling at me. "Lets eat, its my treat" Zach said and we nodded. We went to a nearby restaurant and ordered our food and ate it while chatting to eachother. After we ate we went decided to go swimming tomorrow since it's a no classes day. It got late so we all said our goodbye and went home. I was excited to go swimming specially because I havent swam in so long. I packed my stuff and went to bed.

- Time Skip / Next Day -

I was biking towards the meeting place we planned and when I got there I see Zach, Oscar, Silver and Lisa waiting for me. "Hello! Sorry im late" I said. "Actually your not late, we just came early" Zach said slightly laughing. We biked to the beach which isnt too far from here. We got there and changed to our swimming attire and jumped in the water. Oscar came closer to me and started splashing me with water. I did the same back to him then Silver and Lisa started to splash more water on me. Zach splashed water on Silver and Lisa while I splashed water on Oscar. We swam a good long few hours there enjoying the ocean. Zach started surfing while Oscar was sitting on the sand, Silver was taking pictures of the view and Lisa was just swimming around. Zach came closer to me. "Why dont you swim? Or go to the deeper part of the ocean like Lisa?" Zach asked putting his surf board down. "I dont know how to swim" I replied. "Ill teach you" Zach said and I nodded. He held my hand and we went to abit deeper part of the ocean. He slowly thought me how to swim while holding me to make sure I wont drown.

Oscar's POV
Zach is teaching Michelle how to swim, but does he need to always touch her? So annoying. I get that he is holding her to make sure she doesnt go to deep or something, but im getting abit jealous. I decided to swim in aswell and went closer to them. "That place your practicing to swim to too deep to practice on" I said to Michelle. "Its not bro, and im here if anything happens to Michelle" Zach replied. "Fine do your thing" I replied and swam away. I went back to the sand and just sat there. I looked at the sky which is really blue today. I lay down and relax as I look at the sky. Today is a good day so, not a cloud in sight.
